I live here too and Dupnik certainly is head and shoulders above that asshat up north. He's far from perfect though, don't forget about Jose Guerena- that whole situation was quite ugly.

most of those dipshits are retirees in places like Sun City who don't give a shit about anything other than the perceived unfairness of having to pay property taxes to fund schools now that their children and even grandchildren are past school age. Other than grousing about that, they sit around the rec center and poison their minds with Faux News and obsess about the brown skinned people they see on the streets who aren't trimming the grass or raking leaves at the moment. Shurf Joe gives these people exactly what they want- relief from non existent problems...

I remember that my high school had a rent-a-cop who mostly just patrolled the parking lot to prevent car break-ins. Some called him Baby Pig. I think the only thing he was armed with was a threat to sit on you.

I just really hope that when the inevitable happens the Justice Dept charges Arpaio with murder under the Yamashita standard. I don't see any way his actions are not a clear dereliction of command responsibility.
