Moreno is 57. Did he take comments after this statement? I would have asked "BM, how old are you?"

OK, see here's the thing.

I may be over 50 and abortion is not in the future for me personally, but I have daughters, granddaughters, nieces. I have younger friends. I care about other people who are not me. I am capable of empathy--something Republican douchenozzle carsalespeople are apparently incapable of doing.

These people (Bernie Moreno) have no humanity and should be staked out on an anthill and covered in honey. See? There's my empathy at work. I didn't say fire ants.

“If I can’t have an abortion any time I want.” One of the many problems with conservative men is their baffling inability to understand the issue of abortion. First, they almost always conflate access to abortion with promiscuity, which makes them sad because natural selection is a problem for them. They want forced marriages, forced births and to redefine what makes men attractive to women. They insist women need conservative men for their earning power, their sperm, or willingness to “protect” women, with their guns I guess.

Then, they are obsessed with the false notion that women want to use abortion as their first line birth control choice. “Whenever I want,” as this asshole said. They simply can’t understand why women insist that men politicians must not force them to continue a pregnancy they do not want, or should not continue. The right to choose, in the tragic event that choice must be made. But the right must exist, and women voters are going to insist upon it.

If he was a Democratic businessman, we might have to worry about his employees supporting him.

Fortunately for us, he's a Republican businessman, which means that his employees wouldn't vote to pray for rain if he was running around outside on fire.

I live in the backwater state of Ohio.

Moreno was found by the courts to have stolen money from his employees. He’s another arrogant, rich, misogynist backed by outside billionaires . Just like Vance.

We desperately need to keep the senate. We cannot afford to have the radical federalist society put religious zealot judges on any more of our benches. They’ll continue to drag us back to the 18th century.

I’m doing what I can here in Ohio.

🤞Brown wins.

When Lord Protector Trump says, “Women will be happy, healthy, confident, and free!…You will no longer be thinking about abortion!” all I can think about are the twins from The Shining saying, “Forever, and ever, and ever!”

Allow me to clarify by editing out the extraneous language.

What means is, Women shouldn't vote or have opinions.

"women over 50 shouldn’t even care about it, because they can’t have babies."

`

They're selfish shits whose entire belief system centers around what benefits them; of COURSE they don't understand why anyone would care about anything that doesn't directly affect them personally.

Since we're talking about Ohio, it's what I call the Portman Syndrome.

He didn't give a fuck how the Republican Party's anti-LGBTQ stance hurt people until the people it was hurting as his son.

Yep.

So typical of the Republican Party. If it’s personal, then and only then do they care.

The irony.

That piece of shit MAN comments on why older women shouldn’t care about abortion.

So does he think that men, who also can’t become pregnant, also shouldn’t have an opinion about abortion? Sounds like he just excluded himself from the equation.

"If you can't get pregnant you don't get to vote on abortion" actually sounds like a fair argument to me. *Waves buh-bye to all cis men*.

You'll never be abandoned or lonely = Because you won't be able to get a divorce, ever.

You'll never be in danger = We'll make those scary immigrants go away.

You will no longer have anxiety from all of the problems our country has today = You won't be able to vote anymore so you won't need to concern yourselves with "the issues."

Apparently Trump and Vance haven't talked about this "You'll never be in danger" thing. Vance wants to make divorce illegal... even if one of the spouses is abusing the other. A few black eyes and broken bones are just the price you pay for being allowed the privilege of becoming your husband's property.

That is some sad stuff to learn. Many of us spend our lives making sure we understand that such treatment is wrong and then avoid it or get out of it.

So, just to be clear, abortion is no longer a valid issue for women who can't have babies, but it is a valid issue for all those septuagenarian and octogenarian men in the legislature and Supreme Court.
