I think a lot of men don't see it. They don't understand the hair trigger a lot of women operate under. Think "micro aggression." You think what you've said is fine, but it's perceived as just one more little piece of meaningless bullshit someone has to swallow. It adds up. It isn't enough to avoid the big obvious stuff. I'm not putting this well.
