And exactly what difference does that make? Are you trying to say that two wrongs make a right somehow? You obviously missed the point I was making about both of the parties being (IMHO) utterly worthless.

Fault... that's a word I've really come to hate absolutely. Looking for who's to blame does nothing whatsoever to solve the problem. There was a movie... "Gung Ho", in which it was said "Americans are always looking for who's to blame. We rather prefer to solve the problem, and worry about responsibility for the mess, later" (Paraphrased of course, because I don't have the movie's script in front of me here).

The reason I mention that film and that quote is because it's quite relevant to the point I'm making, which is that both parties have spent endless amounts of taxpayer money through endless infighting and brinksmanship, blaming constantly the other side of the fight for being the cause of all of this nation's problems. The truth is, both of the parties are themselves responsible, but they would rather continue blaming than actually get off of their collective posteriors and fix this nation's problems by coordinated efforts.

Whether one party or the other is more to blame in completely irrelevant when you consider that both parties are equally worthless, completely feckless and irresponsible. These are supposed to be the leaders of our nation, yet I wouldn't even follow them on twitter, nor would anyone else that actually sees them for what they are.

To actually say that one side is any better than the other is to ignore the whole of the problem or to not really see it at all.

"The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Business men, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system, and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it." - Morpheus, The Matrix (film; 1997)

I firmly believe that most people are truly like the people in the Matrix --oblivious to the reality of the world around them, they walk through their lives as if they are asleep, believing whatever they are told by those (politicians, clergy, etc.) that they believe to have their best interests in mind, when the truth is, these influencers are nothing but manipulators of the masses... puppet-masters.

Personally, I wouldn't trust a politician to properly mow my lawn, much less to run the nation I call home. If they whole of the system were less corrupt, then I would certainly feel differently about it, but personal experiences have taught me differently --I've worked in government for over a decade, so believe me when I say that I understand the problems from the inside as one who sees it for what it is. The very thing that we've been raised and taught to believe that makes this nation great is exactly one of the core problems with why our nation has so many problems --Elected officials. The fact that these people can rise to power based on lies told on the campaign trail, followed by more lies and deception in office, and never really be held accountable for it --to me, that's the very definition of government corruption, and neither side of the political fight is any less guilty than the other, regardless of how you try to compare them. At the end of the day, they all want to affect the lives of millions and gain more power for themselves, all in the name of the all-mighty dollar, their true God.

You try to use NASA to prove there is no global warming, but in the NASA link you sent it states: Mean annual temperature has increased a total of 3.4 degrees Fahrenheit (F) from 1900 to 2013. Future mean annual temperatures are projected to increase 4.1 to 5.7 degrees F by the 2050s and 5.3 to 8.8 degrees F by the 2080s, relative to the 1980s base period. The frequency of heat waves is projected to increase from 2 per year in the 1980s to roughly 6 per year by the 2080s.

I think the point the "Majority Of GOP Total Idiots" has been proven thanks Dan.

You must have thought pretty hard to come up with that cheap one liner. I stopped that type of juvenile behavior in middle school. I guess some people never grow up.

Hint: Evolution has nothing to do with the Big Bang. Also, say hello to my Big Banhammer.

The answer to your question can be found in about 3 seconds with a google search, though I presume that's too much work and/or too complex for you to handle. In short, the theory of evolution doesn't address the question of how life arose. That is handled by a different branch of biology - it's called abiogenesis. The theory of evolution deals only with how life operates once it exists. How the universe arose is an entirely separate branch of science called cosmology, though there is a plethora of evidence for the big bang.

Also, if you weren't completely retarded, you'd understand that "evolutionists" are not a collective, they are a diverse group of individuals comprising the majority of the population of the industrialized world. Some believe in a divine being and others don't. That has no relevance to the validity of evolution.

You're correct, of course. But I don't suppose it's worth pointing out that everyone still here is arguing in a year-old thread....

Hmm... this could make for a really good topic of discussion... "given the history and geopolitical disposition of Earth's nations today, what would a colonized planet's society be like that had formed exclusively from one Earth culture or nation after enough time had passed for that culture to establish a permanent foothold on that world?"

I wonder if he learned yet that "Moron" is synonymous with idiot, while "Moran" is a surname originating (AFAIK) from the UK? I've worked with a "Moran", and try to avoid "Morons"... lest I end up on charges for violent acts against the mentally deficient.

Radical progressives? The current Democratic party is now quite a bit right of center. The "once proud" party you are talking about is now decried as "socialist" by the even further right.

I agree. The Democrats have at least tried at times.

Former presidents Truman or JFK, and Senators McGovern, Sam Nunn, Henry Jackson, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan would be shown the door of current Democratic Party. The progressive secularists control the party today.

Congratulations. You are arguing on a year-old thread. Weirdly enough, someone noticed you enough to flag your comment, which is too boring to ban you for. So I guess you won!

I won? That rarely ever happens.
