Well then the NRA would have to add those stations to it's enemies list.

I the last two months, the national media started reporting them again, that's why it seems more frequent. Well that, and the fact that it probably is happening more, because of the crazy. I think local news has gotten complaints about 'if it bleeds, it leads' where the first ten mins of every broadcast is all violence, but they leaned too far in the other direction. I think they decided it had to be the shooting of a small child, puppy, or cute white girl to get on the news. Since Newtown they're all like 'hmmm, maybe we should start showing this shit again, cuz it seems to happen every fucking day'

To be fair, in Arizona, that IS considered "mediation".

Makes sense that you'd want to get in your mass shootings and ambushes right now, before that tyrant Obummer takes away your right to do these things.

Those stories always make me regret going to parochial schools.

Colin should have trademarked his Kap-Tats.

Most of them are pathologically "husky" by age 7. If they can clear 300 lbs by age 18, they qualify for scholarships at Alabama.

There's no shortage of carnage: it happens about 80 times a day in this country.

Imagine if one of the network news programs actually reported a full day's worth in a single evening broadcast? Give every story 30 seconds of pictures, names, and places, and number and caliber of bullets, and pound it into people's heads for 40 minutes of relentless bloody mayhem. You could close it with, "In related news, 220 other Americans were wounded today."

That would generate a bit of buzz - and a truly-informed public might really light a fire under Congress.

If the NRA-owned fuckwits in red state legislatures would get over their 2nd Amendment wet dreams, maybe they'd discover that the Constitution isn't just "Amendments".

It's got "Articles", too, and numbers 3 and 6 might surprise them. Stuff like this: "[T]he Laws of the United States ... shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

Defend that, assholes.

I've been saying it too. We don't need the damned thing any more -- all it does today is empower paranoid patriot cosplayers.

Is there any reason there shouldn't be a Federal Excise Tax on gunz'n'ammo?

"Keep and bear arms..." To "bear" clearly means to shoot at any fucking thing you or person you feel like shooting, any time you feel like it, just as"a well-ordered militia" means one or more ordinary citizens who confuse guns with their penes.

To be fair to her, only one of them was under age.
