We can't realistically expect the Pedophile Protection Party to denounce death threats against Democrats, that being a cherished plank of their platform. Without psychotic, antisocial outbursts, their party would be reduced to making rude gestures while they fume in silence, not that there is any danger of their shutting the fuck up. In summary,

DEPORT REPUBLICANS

WELCOME IMMIGRANTS

Cruz is just salty about Tucker Carlson replacing him as "America's Most Punchable Face".

As for Shelley Headen, The NCDP dropped her like a hot potato, which is pretty much a given.

Honestly, I've heard plenty of similar comments, just not generally from (Democratic) candidates for office.

You know who else wants to seize the means of production? Donald J. Trump! Yep, so far the Trump administration has invested $27 billion in some 30 companies, with a 10 percent stake in giant chip maker Intel. But sssshh, don't tell the MAGA chuds, we don't want their heads to explode.

Amazing how people responded to Ted's diatribe! The enthusiasm was so palpable and solid you could cut it with a dull butter knife, or even a plastic picnic spoon. Just imagine when he gets on the campaign trail to run for president two years from now. Won't that be exciting!

I'd prefer that he be in jail for being a traitor to our country.

Eugene Debs ran from prison, twice, I think! ;-)

American Airlines Center maxes out at ~21,000 seats for a basketball game. It was less than half full. So... ~10,000 C.H.U.D. in attendance. Even with all the freebies. The Dallas Metro alone is almost 8.5 million.

Has any one in the press even ASKED a republican about this?

If it were a Democrat event and this happened, they'd be running to find every democrat they could. Did they suddenly lose all the Republican phone numbers to even ask?

Whenever Senator Cruz is mentioned, I have to quote Al Franken. "I like Ted Cruz more than most of my other colleagues like Ted Cruz. And I hate Ted Cruz.”

Classic.

I can’t look at anchor baby Sen. Fidel Cancun… without thinking of Batman… because Sen. Cancun reminds me of the Penguin… as played by Danny Devito. Anyone else?

Actually in looks, Rafe Cruz makes me think of Grandpa Munster. As far as morals and character, he makes me think of Nixon, only without the charisma.

Could totally see his parents dumping him in the river to go live with zoo birds because he was too ugly

Are we sure that wasn't Stephen Miller trying to rile up the audience?

Political violence is a right wing phenomenon only.

Cruz reminds me of a slug. Perhaps we should pour salt on him and see if he shrivels.

The right loves calling America a Christian nation and Biden is a faithfully practicing Catholic, were Fox correspondents being anti-Christian whenever they criticized Biden?

Of course not, you can criticize a person's implemented policies without bringing his religion into things.

Jen Is Slightly Explosive's avatar

To be fair, since they routinely claim compassion is weak and we should get rid of anyone not brown, I'd say they are pretty anti-christian, as laid down by the man they claim to follow.

Can't read that shit in red without giving the right wing a few raised eyebrows

Well to be fair, Jesus wasn't well versed in the principles of eugenics.

Should Republican politicians be institutionalized?

(Note: I don't care which kind of institution as long as it has locked front doors.)

Kid 'n Nipple-Play's avatar

Institutionalized, mulched, whatever.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Let's McConnell the whole party.

Are they still wheeling him to the window once a month when it's time for the check?

The Twitt post at that link about the "random Democratic candidate: in NC came from the "Libs of TikTok" - Fucking Ted Cruz's staff "merely" re-twitted it.

Maybe Fucking Ted Cruz needs to yell about Chaya Raichik and her fellow ilkers in that "group".

But, why not go whole hog, like the NC House's Republicans and drag up every social media post that Shelly Kates Headen has ever made, which cause NC Democrats to drop support for her like a hot rock. Reading the posts they highlighted, certainly Headen didn't hold back - but calling that an "embrace of violence" is just simple Republican histrionics.

Ta, Gary. Ted Cancun Cruz is detestable and loathsome, but I have never heard *any* Democrat calling for violence against him, no matter how infinitely punchable his face.

Check and recheck your voter registration, especially in a place like TX, where over a million voters have had their registrations purged, and two thirds of the polling places in Tarrant County have closed. Vote early in person, if at all possible. Talk to neighbors, colleagues, coworkers, friends, and family about why voting D up and down the ballot is *essential* if this country is to remain a democracy (or republic, if you prefer). If you have the means, send money to candidates. If not, there's still more you can do. Canvass, phone bank, postcard. Offer those without transportation rides to and from the polls. For low wage workers, this means either picking them up at home, taking them to vote, then taking them to work, or picking them up at work, taking them to vote, then driving them home. People also need small "loans" to obtain documents for photo ID, or a ride to the DMV to get official state ID. If your vehicle is large enough to accommodate multiple passengers, you can organize a personal "souls to the polls" on Election Day. We have to be willing to go the extra mile as November approaches. When we vote, we WIN!!

“Ted Cruz” is nothing more than an “opportunistic grifter” and a COWARD! He was born in Canada, yet still “ran for President?” Then he had the “GULL” to “question” President Obama’s “Birthright?” GET REAL!

CLYDE KOBAYASHI's avatar

Ah yes! “that is the question” that was never answered! “Rafael Edward Cruz” (aka “Ted Cruz”) is a “grifting” fraud, nothing more, as far as I am concerned, so is “Jim Jordan” as well as the so called “TEA Party” circa 2010, I “wager to say” today they hide under the other phoney title “MAGA.”

Rosemary Orlandi's avatar

I'm sorry, born in Canada ? how was the allowed to run for President ?? Did I miss something ?

T L Mills's avatar

Rafe's mother was a U.S. citizen. His father was a Cuban refugee, but Rafe was a U.S. citizen by virtue of his mother's citizenship. Rafe doesn't have much to stand on for criticizing Obama's birth, since not only was Barack's mom a U.S. citizen but Barack Obama was born in Hawa'ii.

CLYDE KOBAYASHI's avatar

Perhaps, he is technically American but he was born in Alberta, Canada so his “Citizenship” is Canadian!
