Yeah, no one was dumb enough to take that bet.

Bullshit. There was voter fraud in Maine. Collins didn't squeak this out.

If Manchin was capable of any kind of self reflection he’d see that he is A Idiot.

I truly don’t understand why Schumer doesn’t just offer them each a few billion for their shithole states in exchange for their votes. Right now their perfidy is on the verge of costing us the Congress in the midterms.

The price of the Epi-Pen "entitles" patients to accessing life-saving treatment. That's some serious entitlement.

So I have a probably-stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway, in all seriousness: Manchin and Sinema are clearly being controlled entirely by greed, and have lost all sense of morality, right? And clearly, since they're not even hiding their pandering, and both they and the corporations and other special interest groups controlling both of them appear to just completely be able to get away with it, that clearly means it's completely legal to control senators by outright bribery, right? And they're clearly open to being bribed...

So why the hell can't we just start the "Buy Manchin a Bigger Yacht" PAC, where instead of burning piles of money on ads telling people how horrible he is, when it won't even matter until sometime after 2022, and by then it'll be too late, or trying to shame him into doing anything when he doesn't have any shame left, we just pool a huge pile of money into an account, way bigger than anything he's getting from Big Oil or his somehow-legal huge conflict of interest ownership of a coal company, and if he agrees to get rid of the filibuster, we just give it to him? Heck, don't Musk and Bezos keep saying they're doing good things for the environment? They're worth orders of magnitude more than his conflict of interest coal company. Why the hell can't we just buy them off and tell them to shut up?

You can tell I'm getting desperate, haha.

It does seem like any time Trump or the GOP machine start yelling about someone else doing something, it's something they've done or are thinking about doing...

The main problem with that was, every time I tried joining one of those plans trying to support a broad spectrum of important races, by the following week, I was getting enormous piles of spam from huge numbers of races I'd never heard of, not to mention piles of texts all day! I want to support important races too, but I'm drowning in spam now! Haha.

I feel like as soon as Manchin folds, she folds too. She won't want to be the only one standing by herself, her and Manchin are shielding each other. Best case scenario, Manchin gets outbought. Worst case scenario, they tank it together until it's too late...

Until 2022, when Republicans run and win on a platform of "Democrats did nothing for 2 years", *immediately* get rid of the filibuster, and run wild for real and for good...
