Since I became disabled I always vote absentee, and I'm becoming very concerned about interference with absentee voting. I participate in the Post Office's "Informed Delivery" program so every morning I get an email with scanned images of all the mail I will be receiving later today.

In today's email there is an image of a letter that has the return address "Board of Elections Commissioners" and right above the mailing address is printed "Absentee Application Enclosed." It would be very easy for nefarious persons to scan our mail for those key words and conveniently destroy any letters displaying them. I don't see a solution to this problem because the USPS has regulations requiring absentee voting envelopes to identify the contents.

I'm not so worried about Trump tearing down the Statue of Liberty.

The French repossessing it, on the other hand...

Pffffffft, Mad Lord Yam is not going to tear down the Statue of Liberty. Let him try. Who's going to do it for him? And what do think New Yorkers would do about stopping that? He'd get his poopy filled diaper ass kicked all the way to hell where he belongs. As they say 'round these parts "Ain't gonna happen."

Now that so many media entities are being bought and destroyed, Pro Publica's reporting is even more valuable. If you're unsubscribing from one of those captured-and-killed publications or streaming channels, consider (if you're able) making a one-time or monthly donation to Pro Publica.

Rather than do anything about the fact that Donald Judas Trump is the starring player ALL over the Epstein Files, the Republican Congress can sure as hell drag Bill Gates in for questioning. Way to go, tough guys.

An ongoing fraud issue, with billions being lost around the country each year, are Bitcoin ATMs. These are basically only used by scammers who target seniors or others in scams with nearby Bitcoin ATMs in locations like drug stores to pay for some bogus thing.

The NC GOP legislature, after much complaining and pushback from our Democratic state attorney general and others, is finally pushing through some very watered-down regulations on Bitcoin ATMs here in the state. The damned things should be banned nationally, IMHO.

After hundreds of millions lost to fraud, NC lawmakers push for crypto ATM protections

North Carolina House lawmakers approved legislation to regulate cryptocurrency kiosks and curb fraud, particularly among seniors, who accounted for more than half of the $389 million in reported crypto-related losses last year. The bill now goes to the Senate.
