My new solution that I thought of about an hour ago: Make all semi-automatics illegal. Anything that reloads with it's own recoil is against the law. Everyone can still hunt ducks and deer and whatever else you want, it'll be with single action weapons. No pissing about what constitutes an "assault rifle" or anything. Same rules for pistols, too.
It was the most meaningful thing that I've ever heard a politician say on the subject of gun violence. You bet your ass I'm going to mail a check to his campaign this Saturday. All Democratic politicians need to be doing what Beto just did.

Better yet have the feds take over all gun sales.And only have one gun store per state.And all guns will have to now be all neon pink for safety purposes. You'll still have your so called freedom but like abortion you'll just have a lot less of it.
