I think we are looking at an overall D+ 8 and a deflation of R turnout so we may see a lot of flips - hope so!

Turnip's vindictive prosecutions are indeed beyond the pale, but I have zero fucks to give about James Comey because that stupid asshole brought it on himself by buttering her email without any justifiable reason right before the election in 2016. Suck it, asshole. You, at least, deserve what's happening to you now.

Trump promotes ‘Freedom Fuel’ stations that sell cheap gas. How they’re able to do so is unclear

It didn't. Someone here said last week that it had jumped up close to a dollar overnight. Freedom gas was only for the reds.

...The top Democrat on the panel, Senator Gary Peters of Michigan, accused Mr. Paul of waging a politically-motivated inquiry to “basically legitimize a predetermined conclusion that was reached years ago.”

Dr. Fauci and Mr. Paul have been tangling for years. In 2021, when the senator accused Dr. Fauci of lying while testifying before the Senate, Dr. Fauci replied, “If anybody is lying here, senator, it is you.”

Mr. Schertler, Mr. Fauci’s lawyer, said in a statement that he believes that exchange “triggered” the senator’s crusade against his client. But he did not deliver the statement, because Mr. Paul refused to let him speak. Senator Richard Blumenthal, Democrat of Connecticut, read parts of the statement into the record.

“The accusations that Chairman Paul continues to propagate are false and disgraceful,” the statement said, “and we will examine all options to hold him accountable.”...

Texas GOP honestly could not have picked someone worse to run for Senate. In any sane state, Paxton would lose by 50 points, and then be thrown in prison, but it's Texas so fuck it

455 Rocket Cat, Space Donkey's avatar

Good test of whether or not Texas is “lost”…if Talarico loses with such a huge advantage, there’s no point campaigning there, and the feds should try to decert them as a state somehow bc cheating fascists from hell.

In December 2025, President Donald Trump declared on Truth Social that all documents signed by Biden's autopen — a machine that replicates a signature — were "null, void, and of no further force or effect," explicitly including pardons.

In March 2025, Trump had already targeted pardon recipients directly. "Anyone receiving 'Pardons,' 'Commutations,' or any other Legal Document so signed, please be advised that said Document has been fully and completely terminated, and is of no Legal effect," Trump wrote.

"The threats to challenge his pardon — legally baseless IMO — give him cover to assert the Fifth since he can claim there is a potential that he might lose the benefit of the pardon and his testimony might then incriminate him," Shipley wrote on X.

Fauci said in his opening statement he was convinced that Paul's goal was to entrap him, citing Paul's "obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution," Politico reported.

"Sen. Ron Johnson from Wisconsin on Wednesday accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of “sabotaging” the potential use of an animal deworming drug to treat COVID-19. With Fauci declining to answer questions at a Republican-led Senate hearing, Johnson pushed ivermectin as an early treatment for the disease. But Johnson used Wednesday’s show trial to again champion ivermectin, insisting “it works” and hitting the Food and Drug Administration’s “attack” on the drug. “You said there was no evidence. There was all kinds of evidence. Loved ones had to go to hospitals...had to sue hospitals...would you just try it,” said Johnson, appearing to ventriloquize patient frustration. The GOP senator also wanted to know if Fauci had undermined the approval of the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine." [HuffPost]
