Just an observation about the "hacking". It appears (including from follow-up from NBC) that the "hacking" involved people voluntarily downloading shit files. That is, the same kind of thing you can experience at any Starbucks, if you are A Idiot.
Now, there's a possibility that the density of opportunities to be A Idiot may be higher in Sochi than at your average Starbucks, but still, this is not "hacking".
I sure hope the Russian biathletes are better marks[wo]men than all the Russians and Soviets I've ever seen in those James Bond and other documentaries.
Say, you know who else was a lousy shot?
Back in the bad old days of the Communist USSR, a reporter staying in a Moscow hotel was so worried about being bugged he pulled up the rug and found a network of wires. Which he promptly cut.
The next morning he went downstairs to breakfast and was told the dining room chandelier had fallen down.
Well, between that and their excerpt from the charter: "The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play."
Maybe Commasar Dmitry Kozak will demonstrate Gaydar for finding those pesky gays and lesbians that entered into Mother Russia to participate in the event.
