Yeah, but those sponsors would still try to sell Valvoline and Dewalt tools and Monster Energy Drinks to racists, up to the point where their companies got directly caught in a scandal. And then they'd say, "what?! We didn't know what was going on! This situation doesn't represent our values! We support ALL black lives!" And then go on selling tools.
I don't know how popular Bubba Wallace is or how much sway he holds over NASCAR, but I admire him a great deal. He's a bright spot in this current cyclone of despair and misery. He's smart, he's accomplishing real progress, and he seems like a class act.

*true story. I did as dancing with my them girlfriend at a bar here in Ft Wayne years ago. I’d put my beer on the ledge off near the dance floor. These three guys were eyeballing us. I go to take a drink and one of them had put a cigarette out in my beer. We finished dancing, walked off the floor.. and I just happened to run into three black guys who I didn’t know and shared what happened. Those white dudes vanished the minute they saw I had back up.
