Bannon is Opus Dei trash ... a Catholic FASCIST on the same vein as Salazar, Franco and Pinochet. I hope he is dumped in the river Platte by airplane.

Comer MUST be called The Gentleman from West Methsylvania at the next hearing. I DEMAND it!

Stevie "the booze cannon" Bannon is always the smartest MAGAT in the room. It's no coincidence he likes this as the MAGAT man is a egomaniac and loves playing "MAGAT intellectual"! I know, I know all my Wonkette brothers and sisters will cry out oxymoron! But ... he still is one of the most dangerous amongst "them" and should not be dismissed. With his sociopathic, narcissistic, wicked, evil personality and mixed with "it's" manipulative intelligence he has the capability to avoid/delay prosecution. Not totally. He should be monitored and scrutinized at all times. He is more evil than intelligent and he is the only one who IS NOT afraid of the klown.

The best thing this hearing did was introduce us to Rep Jasmine Crockett.

"more damning evidence" ... uh? when did that happen?

evidence itself was extremely sparse let alone "damning evidence".

WELL! back in my better days I proudly made my first mark in life. I almost placed second in the sweet sixteen play offs at our semi regional COW TIPPING CONTEST! I figured it was rigged because the damn COW was still awake! It is still in litigation

We had a real Nice Time during Evan's covering of the "impeachment inquiry," didn't we folks? It reminded me of those old black'n'white reels of early aviation, where the planes keep crashing or flying into barns and haystacks, shearing off the plane's wings or somewhat. It was a glorious display of ineptitude and disingenuous blowing of smoke up Trump's ass, and I hope it gets edited into the blooper reel of the defeat of MAGA. I hope someone is paying attention and recording everything, because we're going to want to watch them go down in ignominious defeat over and over and over and over. Thanks for doing this, Evan!

What's with Bannon and all those crosses and pictures of Jesus in his background? Is he some sort of religious fanatic who thinks all those icons are going to make his thoughts and comments brilliant and true?

Oops! Just noticed a similar comment by Amanda Mitchell. Beat me to it by about 4 hours.

" "Oh my God, we have got to go with this. Did you do that? Comer? Jordan?"

Did Bannon think that was a possibility?"

Did Bannon NOT think that was a distinct possibility? That dude is every bit as evil as he is slimy, but he doesn't strike me as the dumbest mofo on their team. Maybe more like the debate champion of Yeehaw Falls Secondary Agricultural School, who is *pretty sure* that because he's at least as smrt as most of his teachers, he's also as smrt as any graduate of Harvard or Yale. Which is to say, not rippingly intelligent, but sentient enough I expect him to know better at least once in a while.

"the right wing is creating a conspiracy theory that Kevin McCarthy set this hearing up to fail, “because he didn’t want to proceed with impeachment. They couldn’t believe that such a disaster would just happen by accident.”"

in all honesty, this is one of the exact ways conspiracy theories are born. it's that prosaic and banal.

The people birthing this conspiracy theory are the same people who insisted on the inquiry in the first place. And knowing there was no evidence at all for low these many months.

I'm guessing that Qevin's gone as Speaker, then. If the go to conspiracy theory for *someone else's* incompetence is "Qevin sabotaged them", there's no way he can continue to be even marginally effective. Dog knows who they'll dredge up to replace him, though.
