Meanwhile, "Wag the Dog" is based on Larry Beinhart's book "American Hero." If you have seen the movie then go ahead and read the book, but please NOT the other way around. The movie was more like a long SNL skit compared to the book, which was much more chilling, and includes a great historic-fictional tie to the beginning of our modern age of political fuckery (thanks Wonkette for this splendid word), not pioneered but elevated by Lee Atwater.
I liked the book and immediately wished for a movie adaptation. I was so excited when it came out, I wasn't prepared for the more predictable outcome: The severity of the message buried in silliness and jillion-dollar ham acting.

Yes impeachment talk much quieter. I actually heard Katie Tur say on MSNBC, after yet another jingoistic segment about Iran: "Is Iran taking away focus from impeachment?" This is like Larry King, who interviewed anybody and everybody connected with the O.J. Simpson situation, asking "Why is there so much attention on this O.J. business?" The media can suck it.
Not really. They have their own rules. But I love how Trump and co keep trying to work in the phrase: "he got caught!" into everything. Schiff's use of that phrase, about Trump, at the impeachment hearings must really have gotten under the transparently thin orange skin.
To think that drumpf made the decision while at his trash palace in Florida, so that apparently, his paying guests could have first notice (presumably to call their brokers to sell/buy depending) and any spies in attendance could warn their sponsors that something big was going down in Iraq. Boggles the bog dweller minds everywhere.
