I of course want the SPLC to prevail in this case.

I also would like it if they stopped union busting in their own shop. Like many non-profits, the rank and file employees of the SPLC are treated poorly.

Great Britain is currently generating just 3.9% of its electricity from fossil fuel. Specifically, gas. Unlike USA, GB no longer burns coal for electricity. Solar is producing 36.2% and wind -- Pedo Donnie's nemesis -- 44.9%.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure our own rabble of jelly-spined nazi enjoyers have renewables in their sights if they ever steal power here.

It's the same old template- rave and rage about immigrants, lie about crime levels, make disgusting statements and act wounded when people call you a shit-mouthed, pop-eyed, rouble taking, hate-making, fash-loving, motherfucking spud-no-one-likes.

But they have the same sort of billionaire-written hitlists ready to go, I guaran-damn-tee it.

"Exactly! "

Doom related:

So, drought. We're in a drought here in the mid atlantic, a pretty bad one for us. We got more rivers and streams than you can shake a stick at, but the rain's the thing.

Lots of places are also in drought. Serious lack of water going on. Fer example, here is NASA offering a side by side of lake Corpus Cristi

The teeth of these indictments are *financial* — imposing so much cost + reputational harm that these “enemies” of the Trump admin are forever weakened.

And that others like them are cowed.

Been saying this for the past year and a half. They are not being incompetent. They are using OUR money to punish people and intimidate everyone else.

Comey might be able to take it. The SPLC might be able to donate off it. They will certainly win ther cases. However, some 70k a year wage earner is that less likely to be a whistle blower. Others are that less likely to buy a bumper sticker, put up a yard sign, wear a tee shirt. Maybe even vote.

Broadcast license renewals are “all but automatic” due to 1996 change in US law.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2026/04/abc-can-beat-trump-fccs-license-threat-if-owner-disney-is-willing-to-fight/

MRK's avatar

This threat is mostly hollow anyway. The bulk of ABC licenses are held by Sinclair and other Trump-friendly billionaires. Even losing the small handful ABC owns directly would barely affect their business.

eppe's avatar

Those smaller town ABC stations would have a bit of a struggle finding advertisers for any replacement of Kimmel that brought in anything close to the same revenue.

Land Shark 🇺🇦 🏳️‍⚧️'s avatar

True. The licenses Disney holds, though, are stations in key cities like NY and LA.

MRK's avatar

You mean places where people are even less likely to rely on broadcast TV?

Hamilton & The Crew 👉NO👑S👈's avatar
