It's a veritable smorgasbord of nutball candidates that show up like cicadas every four years to "Run" for POTUS. Roadkill Bob was the new addition to this years buffet. He is actually crazier than the rest of them.

Go ahead Muslim community and vote for Jill Stein. After that if you cause Trump to win I don’t want to hear another single word about Palestine. We will have way to many other things to deal with in our own country with your shortsighted protest vote decision.

They'll sure show US, though, won't they? If we're ever allowed to vote again in this country, we'll do whatever they want.

If you’re still voting for Jill Stein, then you just want to watch the world burn. There is no other explanation.

I wish Stein voters only hurt themselves with their deluded assholery but we all got to suffer because of them in 2016.

That's what I told my idiot Dump voter friend - "I wish your votes only affected YOU, but voting to cut taxes on billionaires is so freaking stupid, because SOMEONE will eventually have to pay for that. I wish only the morons who keep voting to cut the taxes of the wealthy had to make up the difference, but unfortunately ALL of us will pay for their dumb votes, except people like my 90 year old mother who won't live long enough to have to pay for her dumb votes. .

Speaking of people on the ballot in Wisconsin and Michigan: I saw Cornel West on the street the other day. Definitely him. (He lives and works about two blocks from me.) Should I have started yelling, "Spoiler. Shame! Shame!" at him especially as he's also taking Republican money to fund this weird old man hobby of running for president? I did not. But should I have? And in my neighborhood, most people would not be on my side because: Gaza. But ffs Trump's plan for Gaza would be (to quote the late great Robert Durst) "kill them all of course." And also more people I wanna yell out these days: Nate Silver who is still mad at Kamala for not picking his secret crush Josh Shapiro like that woulda been a magic bullet. I am getting early July vibes of hopelessness again.

Fuck the hopelessness. This isn't 2016. Chump is now a known quantity. A lot of Republicans aren't going to vote for him but can't say that publicly because of MAGA. The pollsters have absolutely no idea how to accurately poll Millennials and Gen Z, and the MSM needs a horse race, so the pollsters deliver a horse race.

I think we're going to fucking bury them in November.

Maybe one day they'll try running a candidate for their local county legislature. Who knows, if they have an attractive enough platform, maybe they could get people to vote for them and join their party.

The only two "socialist" Democrats that I know of who hold offices in PA are Sara Innamorato, who left her seat in the PA General Assembly to run - and win! - for Allegheny County Executive and Summer Lee, another PA Rep who was elected as a US Representative. So there seems to be some love for socialists in southwestern PA (mixed in with some extra-stupid MAGA chuds down there).

Has anyone else noticed how much Brainworm Bobby looks in the photo under the headline like an extra who wandered off the set of Jarmush's "The Dead Don't Die"? Frankly, I worry that he is about to bend down and eviscerate that young woman facing him and no extra-terrestrial Tilda Swinton in sight to rescue her (who knew that aliens talk like Groundskeeper Wully and were dab hands with a katana?)

If ballots have already been mailed with Kennedy's name on it I imagine whatever the vote is in North Carolina there will be court cases contesting the results if a single ballot with Kennedy's name on it is mailed in. Someone will claim it tampered with the vote, and of course blame the Democratically controlled elections board instead of the Republican controlled state supreme court. But I am surprised that one Republican court member voted to keep his name on the ballot. They tend to vote in lockstep, like they made their mind up before they heard a case. So expect weeks or months of lawsuits, eventually reaching the US Supreme Court. Ending like it did in 2000, siding with whatever helps Republicans.

It says the ballots were printed and shipped. I assume that means shipped after printing, to the SoS, not that they were actually sent out to voters.

In my state, the county boards handle anything. Printed and shipped means printed by the county Board of Elections and shipped to the voters in their county.

It's not even clear whether being off the ballot helps or hurts Trump. Only the lowest low-information voters would be affected by seeing his name on there, and if they know so little would they see his name and think "liberal" or "Trumper"?

What all the publicity is doing though is tying him more closely to Trump, so anyone still thinking of voting for him is likely to be right wing.
