Reince Preibus is proof the GOP is not a meritocracy. I guess I should be happy about it, but the fact that idiot hold manahes to hold onto any power almost makes me feel bad for them. Almost.

Two words: Michael Steele.

In fairness, they did better when Steele was in charge than they did after he left. Seriously....2012 was a disaster for them but Priebus got another term. 2010 was a good year for them, but Steele got shitcanned. I know Steele had other problems and rubbed a lot of people in the party the wrong way, and probably shouldn't have been RNC chair in the first place...but Priebus has been the worst and still has a job.

Unless the GOPpers drag Jeb Bush, kicking and screaming, out onto the platform, they'll be handing it to Hillary, gift-wrapped and with a pretty bow on top. They have nobody else you'd want anywhere near the White House without a visitor's pass.

He might be the Veep pick, as a token symbol of sanity.

Yes, Michael Steele, also known as The Man Reince Priebus Made to Look Both Competent and Decent By Comparison.

I differ. Sen Warren is a fine Senator, but a fledgling politician; Madam Secretary is exquisitely connected to the reins of power already. That counts for a lot when there's a contentious agenda to pass Congress, as President Obama knows all too well.

I want OHJB to be Veep again! He's the only man on the planet who could go down in history (already I hear you Wonketteers snickering over "go down") as the VP to both the first black AND the first female presidents!! And also too, 8 more years of OHJB. Not a bad deal for the country.
