It's women like this who provide proof that you don't have to have a dick to be one!ETA: I just turned 50 last September. Pretty sure I'm Gen X. My mom turned 70 last November. She's been spending a lot of time at my place lately, for reasons. She's been sick the last couple of days. Is it the 'rona? Hard to say, but she stayed home, so as not to give it to me. I spent a little time with her earlier today. We had to forgo the usual hug.

actually, Ross is a real medical school but not an American medical school so would need to pass USMLEs like the rest of the foreign medical graduates. We can graduate from real med schools and still have ignorance regarding fields out of our expertise (some docs still think the pull out method works)

OK. Now we have a problem. MSNBC, CNN or any other news media you care to mention are NOT liberal Democrats. They are corporate owned entities, which, in many cases, are wholey owned subsidiaries of larger corporations. MSNBC, now owned jointly by Comcast, Microsoft and NBC Universal. All still have ties to GE, the original parent of NBC. Nothing "democrat' about any of that.NBC/ GE was the launching pad for Ronald Reagan's entry into Republican politics. In fact, during the Iraq War buildup, NBC News did a better job of out-foxing Fox in devoted subservience to the Bush Jr. regime. Tom Brokaw, their anchor at the time if you recall, got the plum one on one interview with Bush on board the USS Mission Accomplished. "Now that we own Iraq, Mr. President." was perhaps the most unintended ironic statement ever voiced by a corporate media anchor.I could go on and on, like how Jeff Zucker of CNN was president of NBC at the time HE gave DJT his big break onthe Apprentice, but why bother. All these media corps and their heads got those two Bush 1%er tax cuts and trump's 2017 1%er tax cut too. They know perfectly well which side their check is buttered on and by whom.

Ross University made me think of Ross For Less, the fine discount dept store with a security guard sitting above the doors.

What generation can't go anywhere during this time of year because everything is bulging at the seams with drunk, naked, sunburned individuals behaving like they have lost their damned minds?

Not that I am against young people. Indeed, I like them a whole lot. I should be spending time with them now, only we're closed. And I do worry that parents allow their kids to run around when they shouldn't. One of my friends has two teenagers and they were planning to do all this stuff and I had to point out that the whole thing about closing school was to keep them from being in groups, for the sake of everyone. And I've gotten some pretty cold responses.

My own boss, god love her, took her whole family to Six Flags Over Texas last Wednesday. Yeah she did. Didn't think a single thing about it. That's a nasty-ass place on a good day, but now?? Well, they've closed it, thank god, but I think that was completely irresponsible of her.

Okay, well, gotta take a nerve pill.

I'm in my fifties, consider myself a boomer, since I fit the demo otherwise, and all of this is so sad and ill handled, it just really makes me nervous. I'm going to get sick, and I know this because my husband eschews precautions unless I shame him, and now he's starting to eschew them just because he can. He knows how he should behave and he knows the risk. He just won't allow himself to be compliant because that would be, in his mind, admitting that he has no control or power over the situation.

It frustrates me to know that everything I do, every precaution I take, every time I try to mitigate risk, he undoes it. And it isn't just about me. We also look in on his mother daily, and he presents just as much risk to her.

My step daughter is in Spain, and I don't know if she'll try to come home or not. Her husband works for State, and they might make her come back, although Spain is in quarantine right now, and I think it would be irresponsible to travel from an infected country. But since when are we dealing with responsible behaviors?

Really, I think she's better off in Spain. If she can stay well, the should stay there instead of walking back into another wave of illness. She's better off not being exposed to her father.

Anyway, I'm nervous as fuck.

Here is what I know. The kids here in Fort Myers that are going to the beach, mostly HS kids because we are on spring break, these kids parents are Trumpers. Not only are they going to the beach but they are hanging out at coffee houses, with maybe one shoulder separating them. So, STFU doctor lady, but bless your heart.
