I’m a 69 y/o retiree. I don’t watch these Sunday morning wankfests, nor do any of my friends. We’re all doctors and lawyers and such. Even my best friend, who thinks David Brooks is a serious intellectual (😳😳😳), doesn’t watch. . Who actually watches these shows? What is their demographic? Also, too, JD Vance is a bullshit filled poltroon.
J D is an opportunistic asshole who unfortunately believes that a life in the corporate sector making a fuckton of money and writing a mediocre book makes him qualified to make laws. Every time he opens his mouth shows us why his belief system is wrong and harmful to the rest of us.
Here's what I thought after reading his book: His mother was way too smart to be stuck in Appalachia where the only thing a woman can hope for is to be rescued by a man. Unfortunately she did not have access to birth control, abortion, or feminist thinking. She ended up using drugs and trying to find a man to take care of her instead of beating her. She finally found her way to the community college and ended up with one of the highest paying careers in nursing: a nurse-anesthetist! His story was a huge reminder to me that smart people can be destroyed by their culture.
Stephanopoulos was panicking. He fully recognized what would happen if he let Vance go on....liability for the network and himself.
