I vote in every Democratic primary and every general election, each and every year. I talked two very young Dems (20-somethings canvassing for a civil court judge) out of wasting a vote on that C-list actor Cynthia Nixon. I explained that if she somehow won the nomination, we'd likely have another fucking Republican governor we can ill afford. NY has never had a female governor, although our record in the Senate and House isn't bad. I love my member of Congress, Carolyn Maloney, despite her record on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. She's being primaried by a young South Asian lawyer. He has NO record, and if elected would have no seniority. I want the WOMAN to keep the seat. Yes, he's probably a good guy -- he was one of the attorneys who volunteered at the airport at the start of the Muslim ban confusion -- but I'll stick with what we've got. VOTE.
