I've become a whole-hearted Swiftie over the past year. Currently the song haunting the back of my mind is 'exile' with Bon Iver from the long pond studio recording session of Folklore. It is a simply gorgeous song.
My heart breaks for all the fans who won't get to see her live this weekend, but I am SO GRATEFUL that the plot was discovered, and no one will be hurt. I'm sure that was a gut-wrenching decision to make.
And I am LOVING the videos of fans filling the streets of Vienna, singing all of her songs, trading friendship bracelets, refusing to allow those cowardly young men to steal their joy.
My daughter put together a Swift playlist on Spotify for me (she's heading across the pond to one of the Wembley shows for her honeymoon after getting married this weekend) ... a wedding in which the violinist will be playing Swift songs as the wedding party walks into the venue .... and "Exile" is by FAR my favorite TSwift track.
Like, sorry, not even close.
I now aspire to duet that one at karaoke some night.
I now desperately want a Stevie Nicks/Taylor Swift collaboration album. I will settle for Stevie covering “Willow” and Tay-Tay covering “Seven Wonders,” which, admittedly, is Fleetwood Mac and not solo Stevie.
The would-be mass murderers might have killed themselves and a whole lot of Ternitz neighbors, manufacturing TATP is pretty fuckin' dangerous. The explosive itself is characterized as "semi stable" sooo, yeah. Stand back.
I am sorry that Swifties lost an opportunity to catch the show, but the woman herself is quite invested in her fans, methinks Tay-Tay and her people will provide...
I have a thing for willow trees; the full-moon charged, runes-engraved wand I've used now for 3 decades is a willow branch from the massive, breathtakingly beautiful weeping willow tree that graced the front yard of my former home. The song itself has witchy undertones that I also find appealing. And both the lyrics of and her performance in the video of the song "The Man" are all too damned stingingly accurate; Swift's drag king portrayal is spread-eagled spot ON.
Taylor Swift is establishing herself as the 21st century Grace Slick.
When LittleButtle was still a wee lass, she was really looking forward to a concert that was cancelled at the last minute and she was absolutely devastated so I feel for all those kids (and their parents who are currently feeling utterly impotent).
Dump given time to babble about whatever he wants, stollen elections, Russia!, inflation, dead people, transgenders, pricey bacon, everyone is dying in America because they can't afford anything!
Can't break Taylor herself, so intimidate her fans (and parents thereof).
Ta, Marcie. Assholes try to ruin everything good.
You mean ISIS and the American far right are united by hatred of Taylor Swift? Who knew.
Vanilla ISIS.
There's a reason the GOP found 'they hate freedom' a plausible motive for suicide terrorists, after all.
ISIS and the American far right are united by hatred of a lot of the same things. There's a reason we all 'em Y'all Queda...
Not crazy about Taylor Swift's art/music but I absolutely love the Swiftie phenomenon. People are awful.

Who is Taylor Swift?
And, plus , I'm not dead.
Could be wrong.

At least they're making the best of it…

Can't afford to pay attention.
Thanks.
Upvoted for Grace Slick!
OT, cause I like some downbeats, baby.

But I'm glad everybody's OK.

Wow, what a cheery vision for America!
"No happy people allowed! You must be as miserable as we are!"
A tip of the hat to Austrian authorities for NOT releasing the names of the two minors involved.
The US media should follow their lead.
