By Samuell Welcome back to Off The Menu, where we bring you the best and strangest food stories from my email inbox. This week, we have one of our personal favorite topics: smartass restaurant employees who dialed up the smartass to 11. As always, these are real emails from real readers.
I've lived in many places across the eastern and midwestern US over the span of a half century of time, and I've never come across this term. (I also earned a PhD, but I don't think that's relevant here.) I suspect the term "take and bake": is either chain-specific or regional.
Well, goats milk is much more similiar to human breastmilk than cow milk. Otherwise sheep or horsemilk. Goat milk also only smells if the goats are kept with a male(those stink like skunks) or if they are not kept in the pasture. If they have to lay in their own waste, the milk will stink. But yes, humans will excret the components that makes goats stinky with their own sweat. Same reason why people will stink like male boars if they ate that meat. And that is a smell on par with male goats, horrible.
How... How can baguettes have "fillings"? Unless they're baguette sandwiches, but somehow I don't see sandwiches being stored in baskets under the counter. Or does baguette mean something else here than the French bread? *confused as heck*
On the one hand, you are asking this in a nice way and I want to respond to you in kind. On the other, as a former server, I hate approximate head counts with a passion. So I want to say, fuck that don't even go if you can't be bothered to know how many people will show up. But really, you should go for the higher number. It is much easier to remove extra settings than it is to try to cram them in at the last second.
Oh God, just the memory of reading that story makes me belly laugh.
Oh no!

Yes, yes it is :-D
I live in a small city on the east coast of Canada, and we had two of them in the 80s. They really were everywhere...then gone.
I had to search... I read like 8 words... and THEN I belly laughed. :-D
In the second story, the waitress should have said: "You should Thai harder." What a pity.
Dirty draft lines can result in sharting, Broseph!

I prefer the more aggressive delivery:It's OCD with the letters in alphabetical order, the way they *should be*
