When trying to come up with rhymes

It sometimes takes some tryin'

But two cubs and a wobbly bowl

Was easy, I ain't lyin'.

They hop right in and chew the rim

With rapt determination

They bet their soul to beat that bowl

As an act of pre-predation.

I think a year ago I did not know of Teen Vogue, then I started coming across numerous articles cited from them and I thought what a great thing, a youth magazine with a political conscience. A magazine that focuses on the issues as they apply to young people. Was it really losing money or had it become too liberal in these fascist times.

when strippers are not making it, you know it's getting bad.

I put some things back on the shelf the other day at the grocery store because I thought "I don't really need this, not for that price" which I have not done in actual decades.

"FIFA on Wednesday announced a new “Peace Prize,” the inaugural edition of which will be awarded at the World Cup draw on Dec. 5 in Washington. The award will “recognize the outstanding contribution of those who work hard to end conflicts and bring people together in a spirit of peace,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.

Trump would seem to be the obvious recipient of FIFA’s obsequious new award. Infantino and Trump have a close relationship. So close, even, that in July Infantino let Trump keep the Club World Cup’s 24-karat gold-plated trophy, forcing FIFA to give a replica to the tournament’s actual winning team." [HuffPost]

Paul Krugman, on Sir's Halloween Party: “C’mon. Of course he realized how it would look,” said Krugman. “He understood perfectly well that he was partying while ordinary Americans were suffering. And that understanding — combined with the belief that he can get away with it — was a big reason he enjoyed the event.”

So I read that even the conservative justices hearing argument today on the Trump Tariffs seemed skeptical. Have not read in depth stuff yet.

Justices grill administration over imposition of steep duties as Sotomayor says: ‘I just don’t understand this argument’

Even conservative justices sounded doubtful of the strength of the Trump administration’s position. “The vehicle is the imposition of taxes on Americans, and that has always been a core power of Congress,” said chief justice John Roberts.

It's not to late for another Democrat to mount a Maine Senate campaign. Platner's face plant is serious. I hope the Democratic Party learned from the disastrous Biden debacle of 2024 and won't commit to just one candidate too early.
