It is a "peaceful protest" because a "non-peaceful protest" would involve dragging Katya Rappoport out into the street,then and tarring and feathering her.

The media seems to be flipping their narrative right now - now that they have discovered that the driver was a Somali POC immigrant who hit her - other news seems to be indicating that something else was going on as they are claiming that he was attempting to avoid hitting anyone.

Believe it! It’s a de facto response for police to imply they were targeted. It’s also the de facto response for Republicans to play victim while victimizing.

Conservatives have to. They still have to make a showing of how harming peaceful BLM protesters is not about race. If they condemn this incident, they have to condemn all incidents, something they are not prepared to do.

I'm so sorry! Our young people are so much more principled and brave than they are given credit for. But they should not have to give their lives for it. It's statues of Summer Taylor and others like them that should be in the Garden.

When driving, I get that way about cyclists sometimes, too. And I ride my bike in the street all the time. I just ride like everyone in a car wants to kill me and do my damndest not to provoke any dangerous nonsense from some frustrated driver. Sure, I'm 'entitled' to take the lane, but the physics of a 4000 lb car vs a 200 lb guy on a 25 lb bike...
