I for one am very confident Iran will greet their new leaders hand picked by the Saudi Crown Prince. After all, they are two very friendly, Muslim, Arab states, right? Probably should get input from Netanyahu and Mike Huckabee. One big, beautiful, peaceful, godly, Abrahamic circle jerk...

Is the Ayatollah really dead?

Did they find a body?

Check dental records?

Any witness ?

Who gets his life insurance ?

Do they have an alibi for Sat ?

Sure he's not just a street vendor in Tehran?

Any Hotline Tips?

A mole in the Revolutionary Guards?

Just asking questions.

Randy Bender's avatar

Nope, he's in the conga line at the Bu$h family compound in Texas with Cheney, Osama bin Laden, and Ken Lay, all laughing about how they broke us with surging oil prices ; )

goCatgo's avatar

Well, ya really can't pass up a good conga line.

"It’s in America’s interest to make sure the Ayatollah is dead. He’s dead."

Okay bub. Now we can leave, right?

I mean, the whole fucking reason was to get rid of a Bad Guy, but who cares if another Bad Guy, or an Even Worse Guy (cuz we know it won't be a woman) comes along?

Dipshit psychos ruining our country.

I keep waiting for the simple logic of Iran's inability to hit us with conventional rockets, let alone nukes they don't have, to filter out of someone's mouth. The reason Iran is hitting our local sites in the region in retaliation is because they don't have the ballistic missile program that would allow them to loft one with a simple TNT payload that would reach the United States. If they were to develop the capacity for a nuclear weapon it would very likely be a small, single stage tac that would be a threat to Israel, for example, and even that is a long way away for Iran. The danger to us from Iran exists in their cyber capabilities and in their terrorism capabilities, and this administration has, dare I say obliterated, our counter-terrorism and counter-espionage capabilities at FBI, DHS, CIA, NRO, NSA and in every other three-letter agency.

This was an anti-democratic show of power, a distraction, an Orwellian attempt to keep us on a war footing in order to expand executive power, a personal vendetta for the Gropenfuhrer, as an Iranian-backed group had attempted an assassination plot against him, a distraction from the pending child rape investigations, an enrichment opportunity for his buddies, a test-run of the new capabilities the Pentagon keeps buying, and a tool in the kit to interfere at midterms.

Get registered if you haven't and plan your votes, friends, and keep your eyes on the facts, because the propaganda, and the mainstream media's inability or unwillingness to counter it is just noise. Dangerous noise, yes, but signifying nothing.

In addition to retaking our government and holding these war criminals accountable, I hope the ICC issues a warrant for DT's arrest: just as nothing has happened to Bibi or Putin, I doubt anything will happen to DT, but it would be on the permanent historical record, and maybe someday there will be trials and consequences, especially if we raise our voices as one, and demand them.

Randy Bender's avatar

100% agree with all that--thank you for articulating that so clearly.

At least we won't have to worry about seeing Trump on the deck of an aircraft carrier anytime soon. Mainly because of the deadly combination of sharks, batteries and water. Also, they can't find a codpiece that large.

I can't really have an opinion on all of this until Bill Mayer interviews Jill Stein to give Putin's view of the situation.

Well, I am somewhat curious what Putin thinks because he controls Trump

konrad_arflane's avatar

Unless there was some context comfirming he was talking about MBS, my guess is that Lindsey’s “Crown Prince” is Reza Pahlavi, son of the late Shah of Iran. I’m no Iran expert, but I would not be surprised if that guy has been greatly overselling his base of support in Iran to any US politician willing to listen. There was a similar character (except he wasn’t any sort of Prince) in the lead-up to the Iraq war, as I recall.

R. Riddle's avatar

I think any Iranian resistance to the regime pretty much evaporated years ago, with the US seen as a bigger threat than the religious extremists running the country.

Let's see how OPERATION THIRD TERM is going in a week because this is what that's about. Like Erdogan and Bibi, he knows what will happen once he's out of office.

Oliver Furman's PA's avatar

There will be no third term. I'd be willing to bet the farm on it.

Bagels of Doom's avatar

I sure hope you're right. This is one of those things I'll gladly admit to be wrong about.

Oliver Furman's PA's avatar

Scroll just a hair for my reasoning, and take heart.

Randy Bender's avatar

Only if $hitler croaks first. There's literally no one of means who'll stand up to him.

Oliver Furman's PA's avatar

He will be mentally and physically incapable, and there will be no way to hide that from anyone. Even the best medical care can only do so much. He's simply going downhill too fast. That is evident.

Bagels of Doom's avatar

Again, I hope that you're right. Propping up a physically and mentally incapable man is what they've been doing since 2016.

Oliver Furman's PA's avatar

That is true. But just look at how much he has deteriorated in that length of time. And, at least to me, it's accelerating. I've seen a noticeable decline in just the past year. Not something that can be reversed.

Bagels of Doom's avatar

M-X's avatar

I've been posting links to better minds than mine about this since it started. Yes. And they may have actually struck a little too soon; there may be sufficient time to get obstruction (legal, political) in place. SO, as I continually yell at people, help people get documents they may need now for new Voter ID requirements, particularly women, poor, youngest & elders; register voters. NOW.

Bagels of Doom's avatar

The "struck a little too soon"-bit is what we have to hope for as well as the usual incompetence of these Nazi freaks.

Bagels of Doom's avatar

We're all passported up anyway but yeah, my husband has been yelling at the kids. My in-laws are notorious travelers and are also passported up.

Spreading the word is at the essence. If you can't get a passport, at least get a birth certificate and do it NOW.

You can apply for birth certificates online in many states. I'm hedging here because I don't know if I can say "most" or "all".

Jamoche's avatar

Hawaii, definitely. Kind of impractical if they didn’t.

Hey speaking of WAR!, most of you are too young to remember when the Arabs turned off the oil and the price of gas at the pump went from $.33 / gal to over $1.00 in about 90 days. My 6 litre Plymouth used about 8-15 miles per gallon, so happiness did not ensue.

Not a math major me, but was that about 300 % ? Maybe 1,000 % with the New White House Math? I dunno. My Jeep today is only 4 litres so I will likely survive it again.

More maths today, well probability anyway, the over/under for oil tankers sunk in Gulf is 2 for the month of March. Get your bets in boys and girls!

I don't watch Netflix in the morning. Just the Financial stuff. Plenty of Drama, Comedy, Scandals and now War. But the acting is not very good. So I don't know how to classify the Hero of Hahvud, Larry Summers, when he quit his Hahvud jobs when the Epstein files went public.

Probably just a coincidence. 🤔

Gout Machine's avatar

I'm very glad I drive an EV.

Lawyers, Guns 'n' Money's avatar

I have a company gas card. You think gas is expensive in the US, try Europe. Doing the maths, as of Saturday, 1 gallon costs $7.88.

vorpal 🚫♔'s avatar

$ 1.28 per litre here in Western Canuckistan. 4L per US gallon so 5 bucks a gallon

SkeptiKC's avatar

I now have to convince paul that he HAS to sell his big Chevy truck and use some of his inheritance to by an EV. The problem is the man doesn't really understand a combustion engine and is thoroughly intimidated by an electric vehicle.

This will require considerable patience and a gentle approach, but I believe it may be accomplished.

Gout Machine's avatar

Well, the good news is that EVs have virtually no parts to break down. My entire maintenance is balancing/rotating the tires and alignment. That's it.
