Good. Great. Fabulous. And very true.

I remember as a teenager first reading in the Bible some verse where it says that if a man raped a woman in a town, and she didn't scream, then she couldn't claim rape. I was OUTRAGED even then. There are so many ways a man can prevent a woman from screaming, like knocking her out, drugging her, gagging her, holding a knife to her throat (they didn't have guns in the BCE era), etc. Apparently the men who wrote this particular part of the Bible didn't think of that. And what if the woman was disabled (deaf and mute, autistic)? This "the woman is lying" shit has been going on for a very long time.

I like how all these Republicans dump on Senator Feinstein for keeping this information to herself while neglecting to mention that she shared it with Senator Chuck Grassley, chair of the Judiciary Committee, as soon as she got the letter, and that he kept it to himself as well.

Remember when that one pope and the French king launched another crusade because the young nobles were such a threat to the populace?

If Kavanaugh had an element of human decency, he would say something like: "I honestly do not remember this incident. But I accept that Prof. Ford is telling the truth as she remembers it, and if her recollection is accurate, I owe her at the very least an apology. I offer to meet with her as soon as possible one on one in private to see how we can move on from this. Until that, I request the Senate to delay my confirmation hearings."

I don't think it's at all suspicious that Senator Feinstein (also a woman!) sat on that letter for months. She knew what would happen to Dr. Ford if she had to use it. She was probably hoping that something else would happen to disqualify Rapey McRapeface there. Well, plenty did, but because Republicans suck, they were simply brushing it off. She was left with the nuclear option.

Yes, the Seven Deadly Sins are also the Seven Trumply Mulligans. If the PeeResident does it, there is no sin, for God so loves the Strumpet Trump that his whorings and thievings and lies outshine the deeds of the righteous.

And his excuse now is "I wasn't even at that party". Oh, which party are we talking about Brett?

I went to high school in a very affluent suburb around the same time that this took place. On the weekends, kids had parties. Even in summertime. I don't know if there was ever a situation that occurred similar to this one, but law of averages say it's pretty likely.
