“Freedom, equality, justice, and humanity are moral and spiritual values derived from our Judeo-Christian heritage.”

Too bad it took a couple of thousand years to work out the kinks, huh?

I googled again ("homeschool SAT"). A number of hits are suspicious: Washington Times, Forbes, tiny blogs, etc. But <a href="http://www.edweek.org/ew/is..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.edweek.org/ew/issues/home-schooling/">http://www.edweek.org/ew/is... seemed unbiased.

IMO there are several possible explanations for an SAT scoring difference. Starting with -- as PyschWench mentioned -- self-selection. Of course everyone self-selects for SAT and ACT testing, but perhaps without school/peer pressure, home schooled kids are more selective about it. Only the more successful students will stay home schooled, as parents give up (or blame themselves) if the child doesn't thrive. Dok's books aside, home school parents can simply teach for the test.

Maybe it was the folks from the closed restaurants who believed in Calvary who brought the cavalry to carve a new nation...out of the American Indian

I thought it was Johnny Appleseed and Babe Ruth.

The man was such a sanctimonious-holy-rollin'-pain-in-the-ass that even Robert E. Lee couldn't stand to spend any more time with him, off the battle field, than he absolutely had to.

Don't forget the Royal Navy.

Until the Supremes applied the incorporation doctrine to the Establishment Clause 'round 'bout 1947, it only prohibited the <i>Federal</i> government from establishing a religion, not the states. At the time of the ratification of the Constitution several states already had their own official religions, and one of the purposes of the Establishment Clause was to prevent the feds from interfering with them.

I don't think Limbaugh is stupid either- just completely lacking in morals and ethics

Cardinal Tomás de Torquemada?

" It cannot be superior natural resources"

Nope...not alone. Having a friendly neighbor to the north and an impoverished and conquered (for a while, anyway) nation to the south, plus two giant invasion deterring oceans on either side certainly helps.

Unfortunately, kids taught with books like this won't even achieve as high as a reality show. They're going to grow up and enter the world thinking they're special because they have a hotline to Christ. Then, when they see "less worthy" people getting the ponies God promised them, they going to lose their shit and become Open Carry/Sovereign Citizen douchebags.

I saw something similar. My first question is of those kids with superior scores, how many were taught with horseshit like this?
