Yay for the 1950s! One of the best times in America, according to our textbooks for Christian schools, though of course the Gilded Age was pretty darn awesome as well. Our 8th-grade textbook, America: Land I Love (A Beka, 2006), has no doubt it was a terrific time:
"Understanding diverse backgrounds and cultures will give me an edge in the workplace and allow me to relate with many different people. ..."
An alleged BA History student (BJU class of '09) wrote that. Reflects some quality book-learnin'.
"The main points of his message were never disproved or denied and were later verified to be true..."
I don't suppose they bother to point out what "main points" were later "verified to be true." Anyone know how many kids are being fed this shit on a daily basis?
I wondered if the John Birchers were the better dressed, actually. I don't remember seeing photos of them with tea bags dangling from their tri-corner hats.
Sartorial sense aside, aren't they essentially the same crowd?
That CNN article - was the "department for the hybrids" that Samuel Cox was ranting about the inspiration for Bush's proposed ban on "human hybrids"?
And now everyone's pushing "heirloom" varieties. Poor hybrids just can't get a break. Not even tax breaks, after 2010.
The LIEbral press and environmentalists toppled him - dupes of the dark one.

Orange is The New Red.
No worry. Wonkette doesn't allow comments.
And they all caught Teh Ghei in the summer of Buttlove. I blame Woodstock. That little bird was yellow.

Relax. It was many, many years ago.

funny how that works- the wingnuts fling the term around as a pejorative, but it's perfectly legal to be a commie in this country
