If these guys intend to defend the USSUPCO as a national institution, I suggest they take their show on the road to more locations than just Indiana. Even in Indiana, they seldom stray farther than South Bend.
(I usually take any opportunity to mock the RCs, too, but think I will pass this time.)
States execute corporations all the time, usually for failing to file annual reports for 3 years and usually when they are already effectively dead. To be accurate, the line should be 'execute one for killing somebody.'
Corporations kill people all the time and on rarish occasions the courts imprison managers for it but I cannot recall any case when the penalty included withdrawing a corporate charter.
Very close to my longtime proposal for 2 supreme courts, with cases assigned by lot. Over time, they would diverge philosophically, which would probably make resorting the the court a more fraught decision than it is now.
Golly, Justice Sam and Sister Coneja seem to be concerned about appearances, exspecionally when appearances are perfectly in accord with the actuality.
“My butt does NOT stink,” shouted the conservative judge over the moist, rumbling, squeaky fart that escaped his backside and echoed through the room filled with maskless conservative donors.
Some of the Robed Ones feel any criticism is concocted by Big Meanies, who won't bow down and accept their rulings in respectful silence. Those days are over, accept it or STEP DOWN!
Good catch. Right about that one too

Well said
Maybe. FDR's court-packing plan supposedly caused the court to back down from its corporation-lpving ideology but that did not restore the AAA or NRA.
damn skippy, Skippy
That just goes to show how court expansion is the nuclear option. The question is whether these hacks are intelligent enough to understand it.
Ugh. Yeccchhhh. Alito went to high school with Elder Sister. Ta, Liz.

Super literate Scalito said a thing, a red thing, a big red thing.

"Put aside the false and inflammatory claim that we nullified. We did no such thing,"
Pure Gaslight from a sitting member of SCOTUS. Their reputational free fall was earned.

Oooh, mix and match SCOTUS. I like it.
I love me some Chris every night, I DVR him just in case.
