Actually, some wingnuts are convinced that all the information about fracking pollution and general fuckwittedness of frackers is just part of the liberal plot to, I dunno, take away their cars or some damn thing because blah mooslim commies or whatever. So they've got signs out by the road saying stuff like "Please Freck Here!"

Honestly, I've seen it. Misspelling and all.

Yeah, I love how frackers in some places are all like, "No, we won't tell you what we're pumping into your water supply, because, um ... oh yeah, because it's 'intellectual property'. But it's safe, trust us."

Well, since industry officials say that fracked water is 100% A-OK safe to drink even when it has "cosmetic imperfections", I think that is well within the rules.

Drug companies, for example, must look at how any known deaths will occur and how much each is paid out vs how much a drug makes the company. even the government has a value it puts on your life. Yes, very fucked up.

Miss Hathaway would've hated this shit.

I'm afraid I must admit of some hypocrisy/stick-fingers-in-ears-and-go-la-la-la-ness with regards to fracking, because my bachelor uncle owns land smack dab in the middle of the Marcellus and has already retired on the royalties. Those wells are my mother's retirement, so DRILL, BABY, DRILL! Sucks to be you, poors!

"Farmers can buy new equipment, pay off debts..." They just can't water anything.

Have you tasted the 2014 Chemical Agent X version 19A Subset T-235? It is slightly nutty, with overtones of caramel, butane, and ArmorAll! Pairs great with some sharp cheddar soaked in creosote, on some simple asbestos wafers dusted with smoked sea salt.

My compliments to the driller!

I never heard of Brawndo Farming before, but Mr. Massaro tells me it's really profitable!

Nothing nefarious here. Poor people are just attracted to subterranean deposits of fossil fuels, as demonstrated by rural West Virginia. It's called Scientistics.

Hypocrisy no. Contributing to the problem, yes. Admittance is one step closer to recovery

Oh I know you have, I shoulda specified my own home grown sort of small county VA sort of wingnuts. They're a lovable sort- they hate the gubmint and luv them guns but dang if they trust those damn utilities worth a damn. Only the bedroomer wingnuts here are selling out to frackers

But you guys just keep voting Republican. They only take away your water. The Dems will take away your guns (cue ominous music)

The important thing is that we have cheap gas right now. In the future it will be Obama's fault.
