"Anyway, why Biden didn’t fire Cuffari guy years ago is a mystery." Comity.

That comity bullshit ship sailed MANY moons before Trumpelforeskins minions began demanding to see Barry O'Bamz official USA birth tattoo........Biden is living in the mid '70s D.C. Forever mired in the 'congenial' congress of a long forgotten era......

Probably more seeing the problem with the bureaucracy that only allows just cause firing, investigated from the top down (the top being in this case the guy himself) OR removal by congressional investigation

Maybe also why DeJoy, or however you spell his name, has been hanging around this whole time while being an obvious tool and bad actor.

actually biden can't fire dejoy. only the postal board can fire him. and appointing a full postal board is apparently a clusterfuck. trump got a bunch of folks on the last one and they appointed dejoy. we need to get the board back b/4 dejoy can be fired.

And DeJoy is a board member, as is the deputy Postmaster General. The board is to be comprised of Rs, an identical number of Ds, and the rest Independents (I's). The majority have to agree to fire DeJoy. I think Congress should look into a better way to run the USPS Board.

Favorite would be to bring back a department with a budget free and clear of congressional ratfuckery, except approving said budget.

What's the deal with Dems bending over backwards to help the 'Pubs rat fuck us?

I get Obama had a personal weakness to make people like him. We saw that giving up a SC slot still didn't make Mitch invite him for a sleep-over. TBF, given Obama's nature, it's pretty surprising he ever made it through a day with his lunch money un-stolen.

But Biden? One would think that appointing a Republican AG would be sufficient to demonstrate our obsequiousness. It still didn't inspire Trump to send Christmas cards. But all these other embedded magas still around? I get Post Office has a board but I also get that Biden has leeway to appoint for that board. The other rank and file maga saboteurs still pulling a Gov Check? They probably won't wash our car if we're under the weather because recovering Covid.

I get tolerance paradox, and I get that ultimately it will lead to everyone getting killed eventually, but why accelerate it's threat to society? Can't we just be un-nice once or twice if it saves the common good for everyone else?

Obama didn't give up a Supreme Court slot. McConnell took it from him, in one of the most nakedly, blatantly cynical maneuvers in recent political memory.

The next time an SC seat opens up while there's a Republican SCOTUS (not for a long time, dog willing) and a Democratic Senate, every name that gets sent to the Senate needs to go into the circular file.

Unfortunately, if you give the bully your lunch money just because he told you to, you gave him your lunch money, he didn't take it.

Most favorable interpretation of events is Obama fell for the lamest Jedi Mind Trick ever.

There was even a historical precedent from Nixon, of all people, doing exactly what Mitch was saying Obama couldn't. So it's not like Obama didn't know his options.

It wasn't lunch money. There is no mechanism under the Constitution for the President to require the Senate to confirm a nominee or even vote on the nomination.

This is what puzzles me about Biden. Why didn't he fire him as soon as Cuffari stalled on the Secret Service text message issue? And why has Biden not put members of the US Postal Service board in place to fire postmaster general DeJoy, who created chaos in the 2020 election by shutting down sorting centers and increasing mail delivery times. And seems to be doing the same thing this year. In addition to trying to subvert the cross over to electric vehicles in a major system wide vehicle replacement move, a big public statement on government dedication to fight global warming.

I'm sure there are other hold overs from the Trump administration still humming up the works, and errors Biden made in appointments, like Merrick Garland, that should have been replaced long ago.

Basically anyone hired by Trump ever should have been fired immediately when Biden took over but ESPECIALLY anyone hired in the last 2 years of his presidency because that’s when he specifically got hard core MAGAts in there. Should have been a no brainer.

It is disturbing that the Biden administration hasn't gotten rid of all the Trump appointees by now - DeJoy kind of makes sense because of the Byzantine regulations at the USPS, he literally can't get rid of him until he can appoint enough votes to remove him, which won't happen until deep into Kamala's second term at this rate.

Biden has had chances to replace board members. It's obviously not high on his priority list, but he has aides that could research and vet candidates. It should not be a problem. DeJoy could have been gone two years ago. I think one or two of them are place holders with expired terms who could have been replaced long ago.

It's not so much the ass kissing that was disgusting. It was licking off the dingle berries from Trump's bleeding 'rrhoids that debased the dignity of his courtiers. Bannon thoroughly enjoyed his time as Groom of the Stool. He totally dressed for that job.

As for ass licking, Mozart wrote a whole song about that.

DeJoy, at least, is protected by the anti-administration interference composition of the USPS board, and Republicans found a way to ratfuck that.

I'd love to find a way to get those trashed sorting machines replaced!
