Yet another piece of evidence that he has been consumed by his behavioral illnesses and all he has left is his brain stem and his cunning. If he hadn't inherited his millions, he'd be in chokey. Because that's where the U.S. puts most of its mentally ill.

If the turtle wants to reform the ECA it will only be to prevent dems from objecting when rethug state legislatures ignore actual votes for pres and decide their candidate won, despite not actually, you know, getting more votes.

If three moderate Senate Republicans are so concerned about voting rights, all they have to do is convince seven more of their colleagues to support both bills. Manchin'll support it if it's bipartisan, and Sinema'll support it if it doesn't fuck with the filibuster.

Otherwise, you support carving out a voting legislation exemption in the filibuster and provide the two votes Manchin and Sinema won't.

Anything else is just bullshit.

I've suggested trading Shatner for Nimoy quite a bit, but never heard back. Good luck.

If the "vacuous chasm" is your entire existence, you definitely need a lot more than surgery.

Thom Tillis is by no means a moderate, although even local news stories portrayed him as such in his first US Senate election in 2014. But he was not as radical as some primary opponents, who were more like Margarine Greene. While a leader in the NC legislature he was a key figure in passing voter restrictions that a federal appeals court said targeted Black voters with "surgical precision."

He is also a firm believer in eliminating regulations, with one of his first comments on regulations on arriving at the US Senate was claiming signs in restaurant restrooms telling staff they must wash their hands before returning to work was an example of overregulation. The free market should decide if people did not mind eating food prepared by someone with filthy hands. Afyer a brief phone call from Trump, he also notably retracted his criticism of Trump declaring a national emergency at the border and stealing billions of dollars to pay for his wall just a few days after Congress said no way. Moderate is the last thing he should be called.

Nate -- how have the mighty fallen. We didn't realize how narrow his lane was. My guess is that he's triple vaccinated and has no children. And he's not that close with his parents, great aunts or uncles. Here is a tidbit from his Wikipedia page:

"In a 2012 interview with Charlie Rose he said, 'I'd say I’m somewhere in between being a libertarian and a liberal. So if I were to vote, it would be kind of a Gary Johnson versus Mitt Romney decision, I suppose.'" The man is well educated but politically he's a moron.
