I once drove a Geo Metro convertible and could literally pick up the back bumper and readjust it if I didn't think I'd parked straight enough for my mild touch of OCD. It was a good little car, and died after an idjit ran into my back bumper and accordioned me into the car in front of me. I lived, and the Geo saved me a towing fee by making it to the junk yard under its own power.
Not sure it would have fared as well if it ran into a møøse.
The big difference from the reactionary crowd is that we were for easier legal immigration, and free trade in general. The progressives also tended to take a favorable or at least balanced view of Islam. I remember Bush 2 making comments to the effect that a Muslim could go to Christian heaven.
