In one of the stranger moves of my life, I once took professional training in use of deadly force. Firing into a moving vehicle was an absolute no because unless you miss you are creating an out of control vehicle.
My training in self-defense law was that you don't get to create a bad situation and claim you're justified in shooting your way out of it. See anything written or spoken by Massad Ayoob about simply avoiding trouble.
And before some idiot says that shooting him while fleeing was justified, look up the Supreme Court's Garner decision. The circumstances where shooting a fleeing felon is Constitutional are so narrow as to almost not exist.
the night of, a video of the incident was up on twitter and I watched it multiple times. I don't consider this authoritative...video was shot by someone distant (1/2 a block away) and I couldnt make out details but what I saw was this:guy, presumably danielson, dressed in black, comes from the L moving to the right. he is in the street and not in a vehicle. suddenly there is a visible cloud, presumably of pepperspray, presumably fired from danielson, between him and person to the right who is wearing (IIRC) mostly white top, black bottom. that presumably is Reinoehl. around one second later there are two shots cracks. Danielson retreats back to the left, reinoehl moves to the RDanielson gets 10-20 feet before he falls to the ground dead.all of this: hoping I recall correctly.the next day all copies of the videos are gone from twitter like they never existed.
You're right. Violence is wrong. And we sho' nuff don' wanna make massa angry. Instead we need to keep being good non-violent little sheep and go peacefully into the gas chambers when the time comes, just like the Jews in Nazi Germany.
