I've been trying to figure that out. I've got a couple of guesses.
1) Turkey is worried (or knows/suspects it's already happening) that the Saudis, as part of their cold war are aiding Kurdish dissidents in Iran. They really don't want the Kurds encouraged to rebel as it might spread to them.
2) There's almost certainly Saudi money flowing to ISIS. The Syrian refugee crisis is a huge problem for Turkey, straining both their resources and their relationship with Europe.
3) The Saudi's general flirtations with various extremists probably influences or finances a few groups in Turky that oppose Erdogan.
So payback/pushback for the above. Add to that they killed the guy in Turkey using diplomatic passports. It's not that Turkey minds killing journalists per se, but dictators don't generally like other sovereign states, even other friendly dictators, assassinating people in their country (at least without asking first).
Traitor's faith in the validity of investigations and their findings (Kavanaugh, Khashoggi) is touching. I can't wait to see his unwavering faith in the results of an in-depth investigation when the Mueller report comes out.
