In a den on a hill

lives the Sly Red Fox

she sleeps all day

but at night she rocks

How could anyone not love these little critters?

Monsieur Grumpe's avatar

We saw a fox run through our yard the other day. We seem to have a bumper crop of bunnies this year so nature must be finding a balance.

ElderlyLoudCatWomyn's avatar

I occasionally get foxes on my patio at night - along with all the other critters hoovering up the dropped bird seed.

I like the one that just flops down and seems to contemplate going back to bed.

That seemed to be the referee.

Fox Kits, some assembly required.

Little foxes in black soxes

Playing 'round the den

Kits just getting feisty

With their kith and kin.

Things they do may simply

Look like fun and play

But they help build the hunting skills

To make their adult way.

We saw one this weekend. They always make me happy.

Looking at those cute little foxes playing in the hed gif brought this song to mind--because I'm kinda crazy this morning, or perhaps, every day because of this fakakte administration:

How did I know exactly what song it was without looking? 😸

There's a version of "Fox On The Run" out there from a high school choir and they do a HELL of a job on it. Having a great time.

[A]nxious and depressed? I've heard that cyanide is extremely effective for that.

As for Ryley Niemi, I hope it was more than his photographic equipment that got destroyed.

As for the billionaires' school, I expect that the special skills taught there will not be kindness, fairness, or generosity. Of course, the fact that such as school would exist just for these kiddies is already teaching them the lesson of entitlement. I bet they'll turn out to be real charmers.

“[Kashyap], who hinders cases and staffers worry might choke on his own vomit.”

OMFG! That would be terrible!😎

If I were one of his staffers I just wouldn't worry.

Hate to tell Zohran, but 100 years ago most Southern and many Midwestern Dems were fighting for the Klan lol

Stick to your Adderal, Kraznov, and leave the psychedelics to the adults.

Happy 4/20 to all who celebrate.

I would have punched out Ryley Niemi also, too.

No one calls me a Republican and gets away with it.

He'd be in the hospital if he had called me a pedophile on camera. I know exactly where that beatdown occured. I walk past that location once a week to meet friends at the bars.

I'm willing to give it a go. Tripping Donnies can't be any worse than what we've got now.

To Ryley Niemi: Thank you for creating and distributing that video. It serves as official notice to MAGAts everywhere that we are FUCKING THROUGH with your homophobic horseshit, and there will be consequences for it going forward.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Didn't really expect to hear David Crosby's "What are their names?" during my breakfast out, but that song has been coming to mind a lot lately, and I'll take it!

What an honor it was for those kids to meet both President Obama and Mayor Mamdani. Two of my favorite politicians.

1 kid to Mamdani "I know your name." Mamdani "What is it?" Kid: "Mamdani." Mamdani "What's my first name?" Kid "Mayor."

"100 years ago we had a very clear vision of what [the Democratic party] were fighting for."

100 years ago the Democratic party had a massive pissing match over whether to officially say "the KKK is bad".

Maybe's avatar

Well, it was definitely a clear vision even if it was totally racist.

Robert Eckert's avatar

Yeah, he's thinking about the Progressive Party, which had given up on the Republicans since they broke with Teddy, but wouldn't merge with the Democrats until Franklin. The 1920s Democrats were not, shall we say, forward-looking.

I think 90 years is to close enough to 100, especially when you're 35, to give him this one.

"What’s he so anxious about?...it’s having an Iran legacy as bad as Jimmy Carter’s." As tragic as it was, only three USAF rescue aircraft got destroyed in Iranian airspace under Carter's term (and under righteous circumstances).

What's TFG's excuse for...? I lost count (again, tragically for our brave aircrews, but don't forget who put them in harm's way in the first place)!

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Let's not limit it to Iran. How many fighters did Biden's Air Force throw off the end of a carrier?
