With skin the color of the Doritos loco taco...

Here in Santa Barbara I can guarantee you that a majority of our fast food workers are underpaid Mexicans. Except!!! Except for In'n'Out burgers, where they are fresh-faced (mostly white) teens.

Those friend napkin-holders stuffed with (alleged) ground beer are tacos? ¡Qué bárbaro!

I'm solidly in the "dissecting the frog" camp. The burrito is much too phallic to squeeze hot/fire jizz onto, just before I bite it.

Oh, and Eww...

Oh, so THAT's what that whole Anthrax scare was about? Good to know!

If it was Angel Soft, they'd be lobbying to supply Mexican drinking water to all of North America.

That's going to happen whether the minimum wage is $15, $8 or anything north of zero. The price of technology drops over time. The price of being a human rises. We may as well get as much out of the system now as we can.

Having misspent some of my youth in a cliff top villa above Acapulco I had a long standing appreciation of Mexican Food when Taco Bells started their virulent spread from southern California. So I tried one and it was awful. I'm sure the Gran Monstruo del Espagueti Volador sought to punish me for my youthful indulgence by giving me a child who loves the stuff (Too many Saturday morning fast food commercials.) At a Taco Bell watching him chow down on some nachos while I abstained a couple young guys walk past the table and say, 'The Ass Hole who owns this place just fired most of us. I'd think twice before eating that crap.' We finished our father/son dinner at a diner.

I bet the people living under that cliff did not appreciate your appreciation...

Never in the Navy but I have been brewing coffee that way for decades. A small pinch in the grounds before brewing. Rumor says it eliminates the bitterness. Whatever, at work who ever came in first made the coffee. I would do that and for years I always heard compliments that I made the best. Also don't go for that extra scoop for the pot crap. That was started by Juan Valdez to sell more coffee. Also, use two filters. Paper filters are cheaper than coffee and two filter out more of the oil and make the brewing process slow down.

If I hadn't had two cups already today my response would have been much shorter.

Yum also owns KFC and Pizza Hut. Both have had recent successful histories of fighting attempts to unionize. Yum, in building it's empire in the late 90's went through a series of acquiring other FF brands, some of which were taken private by groups of franchise owners when Yum's policies started to impact the brand. Classic example was Long John Silvers.

Many of the FF workers in my area are now southern asian or south east asian in heritage. Yet the managers are always white and at the far back of the parking lot is a Merc of Beemer. Yet these manager and shift managers are in the early thirties range.

6,000 Taco Bell tacos consumed in a single building just doesn't sound safe.

Misspending my youth has made it somewhat easier to not misspend my adulthood.
