Well, you insult a woman who lost both legs flying a helicopter that was hit by an rpg. It hit just outside the cockpit, right where her legs were. One was ripped off near the hip. The other around the knee. She also shattered her arm in three places and almost lost all the skin on the back of her arm from the explosion. .They saved her arm. But she's limited in it's use. Here's the Awards she received . The Purple Heart. The Meritorious Service Medal. The Air Medal. The Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. The Army Reserve Achievements Award with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters. The Combat Action Badge. And the Senior Army Aviator Badge. Out of respect for Lt Colonel Duckworth, I will refrain from using profanity directed at you. Make no mistake. You deserve it. You, can't even walk on the same side of the street with this woman. You don't deserve that. And to say one more thing, have you no decency?

October 1990 - March 1991 1st Gulf War. 5th MASH, 44th Medical Brigade, XVIII Corps, out of Fort Bragg, NC. We were moved to the front lines of the western flank of the Iraqi forces to provide surgical support. I can still smell and hear the tanks. I did not fire any weapons, but I removed enough shrapnel and closed enough wounds to last the rest of my life. I now do consulting and volunteer work several times a month at a VA hospital. I make it a point to meet as many patients and help as much as I can in the VA and in my own office. And I am on the medical staff of the hospital's murderball team. (I am now in private practice) No Purple Heart, but I did suit up and strapped on a side arm whenever I was awake. You smell like a REMF.
