If the elephant fits (through the door) You must admit!

It would be so much easier if we just kept 2 scoreboards: Companies that do/don't support the no-guns thing & companies that do/don't plan to meddle in their employees' health. That way, we'd have a handy list of who we're boycotting. This keeping track by myself business is exhausting! oh, and Eden? FOAD.

But what if they do support the no guns thing and do plan to meddle? Is that a firm no, or can I still go there but just half as much as normal?

I think I need some diagrams and pie charts.

<i>"Time and time again, businesses that have asked guests not to bring legally possessed, self defense firearms into their establishments have seen their employees and customers victimized by criminals preying on the openly defenseless."</i>

Time and time again people have shot customers because responsible gun owners shoot people. But that usually happens at <a href="http:\/\/walmartshootings.blogspot.com\/" target="_blank">Walmart</a>, not at Target.

<i>Bringing firearms to Target creates an environment that is at odds with the family-friendly shopping and work experience we strive to create.</i>

ah, come on! nothing says family-friendly like packs of roving 6 year olds, accidentally, on purpose, shooting toddlers in the face. Thankfully we don't have to worry about finding a 'home' for grandpa anymore since he wandered off looking for the mail.

The only place I ever felt the need to carry a firearm was Chuck E Cheese’s. However common sense dictated that I just should not go back there again.

<i>We’ve listened carefully to the nuances of this debate </i>

I am unaware of any definition of "nuance" that covers potential bleeding and/or a body count.

Oh, there are all kinds of nuance. For example, how many people have to be shot for it to be a "mass shooting"? Typically, the standard is four or more, but what if some of them are only grazed? Do they still count? And should you include the shooter in the totals?

I should add I didn't make any of that up; these are actual arguments.

Genuinely sounded like a threat to me -- "Sure, sure, we'll leave. But don't blame us because accidental shootings WILL happen."

Sure, Kory. You do that. And if you happen to be shopping in my local Target, I'll be on the phone with law enforcement faster than you can say "boo". After all, *I* don't know that you're a "good guy with a gun". Maybe you're just laying low, lulling us into a false sense of security.
