Politically, he is using a tactic that MIGHT win him the primary, but will lose him the general. And that is the strange creature the modern repubican has become - he has to go so far to the right to win over the crazies in is party he is totally unattractive to any moderate voter.

Here's my burning question. . .where I live a woman is required to wait 72 hours after her first appointment at an abortion clinic before she can actually have the abortion, which is blatant discrimination against low-income women who now have to travel hundreds of miles to the one and only abortion clinic in my state, missing work for several days, and wrong in so many other ways as well. So why is a woman required to wait 72 hours to get an abortion, but if you merely HINT at a POSSIBLE suggestion that people who want to guy a gun should wait 72 hours to take it home from a gun store, the gun fanatics go ballistic? Guns are used to kill people. There is no other possible use for them. The same people who oppose any kind of firearm waiting period are the ones who think abortion is murder. Murder is murder. If you have to wait 72 hours to commit one "murder", why not wait 72 hours to buy a weapon that can kill dozens of people??? There is clearly no logic whatsoever in how these fun fanatics think. This is not surprising, since the words "logic" and "fanatic" cancel each other out, so I guess I answered my own burning question.I really think the pro-choice movement is missing a great opportunity for a Supreme Court lawsuit here, based on this obvious contradiction.
