Sadly, there's history, the Jews in Germany during WWI were extremely nationalistic and right wing, all volunteered for the military, famed professor Hermann Cohen wrote a book addressed to American Jews to urge them to intervene in favor of the true Fatherland, Germany. Much like Catholics, there's an inherent commonality among traditional types towards "conservative" thought. Fortunately, in the Jewish community, the vast majority outside of the very traditional communities which are devoutly Trumpist, are on the Progressive side.
They are both horrible, and trying to out-horrible each other.
