Even more amazing is that his fellow fuckwads would vote for his bill. They must all have personal-enrichment and fuck-my-enemies bills, for which they trade their votes like baseball cards.
It's the hick one-cop towns with the $400 pay-now-or-go-to-jail fines that take the shine off of what would otherwise be a sensible form of enforcement.
Fortunately (inevitably), there's an app for that.
I remember one in Scotland, which was at the bottom of a dip in the road. The speed limit on the flat sections of the road was 50, while the dip had a limit of 40. I got a ticket, my second in 20 years, a few years back. I kept forgetting to pay it. Hey, in Ontar-iar-io it used to be that when you renewed your driver's license you could pay it then, nobody cared. 3 months later they mailed out a letter to me informing me that my license was suspended as of right then. Which I didn't receive until 3 days later, after driving around on a suspended license. Oh my god. What a horrible week that was, compounded by the fact that I was just recovering from H1N1 (yes, it was that year) AND opening in a play. In other words, PAY YOUR TICKET.
worse than that, they were so poorly calibrated that many innocent people did in fact get cited. BTW,municipalities still have them littered allover city streets here. I've got a set at the intersection nearest my house that constantly gets false positives- inexplicably snaps pix of cars for no reason several times a day.

Lundberg manages to beat Sarah Lou when it comes to petty revenge.

Going to court on another matter, I had to sit through far too many cases of drivers protesting red light camera tickets. There is no defense.
Following that most unfortunate experience I stop at every fuckin' light. I want to keep my $500.
He blamed his mother. Now that is low Senator even for a Republican.
Why all the hate for the cameras? Is it really THAT hard to not speed?

If only they paid half as much attention to America's "to-do" list.
