Wait, so someone who lives in another state and thus normally wouldn't be subject to Texas law can now be sued for violating Texas law while they're in another state? Whatever happened to the "states rights" these people love to champion?

Of course, the "Pro-Forced-Birth" gang conveniently forgets (if they ever knew - history isn't their strong point) that there was a country that actually DID ban all abortions. The results were about what could be expected - terrible ...http://foreignpolicy.com/20...

And please do NOT try and convince me that there's a Jewish/Christian connection to banning abortion ... it was well known during the time of Jesus and yet, he said NOTHING about it - he did, however, talk about adultery and divorce ... Hmmmhttp://www.myjewishlearning...

I think that's pretty obvious at this point.

I’m actually curious how any suit here could ever make it to the Supreme Court. Even if Texas writes some nonsense about anyone can sue anyone there still has to be a case or controversy and some particularized injury. Not sure “I hate when babies die” is gonna work.

I guess screwing over other women, and potentially undermining the Constitutional system of laws, is pretty exciting.

Everything going on in the Texas lege has me so depressed. I don't know if we're going to make it. They are so vile and filled with hatred and evil, these Texas GOPpers. They will kill us, either by denying us health care, or letting people shoot whomever they wish.

None of these (almost exclusively) male bills will come to fruition (!). "Texas has next!" RU fucking kidding me?? I feel sorry for Texan taxpayers who have to pay for this swaggering nonsense, but on the other hand, Fuck 'Em.

Ninja, some folks weren't especially concerned about their purity at the time; they made decisions based on getting the best results possible with the realistic choices available at the time.

Some folks - mostly young - were indeed making the perfect the enemy of the good, and they learned their lesson. They temper their decisions now with maturity and realism and patience.

Some folks did not, and likely never will, learn their lesson.

And some folks just can't seem to let it go. Blaming folks now won't do any good. If you want to contribute, tell folks what you think they should do now, rather than waste everyone's time. You're smart enough to have opinions on today's world, and maybe sources of interesting information. Let's hear that instead.

They feel the women must be punished for having sex. It fits with their tribal death-cult mentality.
