As you probably heard, the National Rifle Association held its annual firearms-stroking meeting over the weekend in Houston. And where a lot of state legislatures would just pass a resolution declaring "Suck My Machine Gun Week" or some such, the Texas House instead celebrated the Holy Armed Presence by
At least Pincus is being logically consistent. If you accept the notion that firearms are The Solution To Everything, then it is easy to see why you would want to have one (at a minimum) right at hand at all times. Because You Never Know. Big spider in the bathtub? No problem, honey, I've got this. Kids won't finish their homework? Wait, why would well-armed children ever have any homework to do?
My father took possession of Grandpa's old shotgun after he passed on. Dad, a WWII vet, certainly knew his way around a firearm, but after mustering out after the war he had no further interest in the subject. Still, someone had to do something about that shotgun before something bad happened, so he took responsibility for it. For the next six years Grandpa's shotgun stood in the back corner of my brother's and my bedroom closet. Both of us knew it was there, but neither one of us ever had any curiosity about it, so it stood there untouched during the entire time. The only safety device was Dad's one-time stern warning to us of "Don't touch that gun!" He ended up giving it away to a friend when we moved to another city. That was the only firearm that we ever had when I was growing up.
<i>If you&rsquo;re worried that your kid is going to try to break into the safe that is in their bedroom with a gun in it, you have bigger problems than home defense.</i>
That means you have an inquisitive child which is a gateway activity toward free thinking and saying &quot;happy holidays&quot; and learning to speak Spanish.
Apparently this gun hater doesn&#039;t know children have the right to bear arms and stand their ground. What part of &quot;shall not be infringed&quot; doesn&#039;t he understand?
Lord knows, these Texass articles always chap MY ass.
Everything is bigger in Texas. That includes legislative clusterfucks.
The Bill of Hints?
i would like somebody to be coming for that guy&#039;s guns.

The right of your kid to read or look at your porno mags shall not be infringed. So don&#039;t put them in a safe, particularly not in a gun safe.
I bet that guy up top is <strike>watching</strike> masturbating to Fox News.

These guys are against knowing who has a gun which is the least well-regulating I can think of.
And above all Barbara Jordan.
What the hell happened to <i>that</i> Texas?
