This House will not try to impeach Bamz, because (don&#039;t laugh) they really do need to have an arguably impeachable offense to blather about, because not <i>every</i> Repo is in a guaranteed-solid-nutbar-red district. If there are eighteen Rs who might worry that a blatantly content-free impeachment would negatively affect their re-election, impeachment fails.

Maybe instances of bad decisions, or lower-level malfeasance, but nothing that could be construed as a &quot;High Crime&quot;. The reason <i>this</i> House will not move to impeach is that acquittal by the Senate is the BEST possible result for the Repos. The worst result would be to fail the impeachment vote, which would make the leadership look like even bigger idiots than they already do.
Now, if the Rs pick up seats in 2014, they might become emboldened, but even then I think some of them will remember that Clinton&#039;s approval ratings stayed high, and maybe even increased, during his impeachment.
Personally, I think the only impeaching we&#039;ll have a hard time expainin to the kids is why it never happened to El Jefe the Boosh and Darth Cheney.
