Poverty is so much tastier when it gets a dash of humiliation sprinkled on it.

sorry, but however legitimate their 'deadbeat diner' problem might be, the answer certainly is not to humiliate the kid in front of his peers. Not only is it callous and cruel, but it likely won't fix the problem. besides, the psychological damage to the kid is probably gonna bite the state in the ass for far more than thirty cents somewhere down the road

I think this is how they create more republicans. Poor kid.

There used to be a company in San Francisco - Fleurs de Mal, I believe - that would deliver dead flowers to your ex.

These are the kinds of things that make me want to beat the ever-living crap out of whomever is responsible for this, and I don't mean with votes, either. Why would you, how could you do this to a kid? Over 30 damn cents? I'd have paid it out of my own pocket before doing that to a kid in my "care". Asshats.

The sooner the young lad develops a sense of shame the better he'll fit into 'worker bee' drone mode the overlords prefer.

It's a good thing that I'm not actually in charge of the world, because if I were there would be a whole bunch of people up against the wall- and these clowns would be included
