I remember why he lost and the big party the Commonwealth of Virginia had the rest of the week. Now how come we could get rid of an awful, but a certain state can't shake off Scott Walker? Not naming names here, but it must suck hard to be them.

Labor Day is not for executives, asshole. Stop posturing to get a cabinet spot on Not-A-Chance-In-Hell Jeb's administration. Stick with what you know - this kind of 1% self-serving crap:

Moelis & Company, where I now serve as vice-chairman, was one of those companies that went public in 2014. Since then, the business has grown, and, as a result, employment with the firm has grown as well. Our number of managing directors is up over 15 percent since the IPO.

I was discussing the upcoming elections with a friend who said to me "do people not remember 7 years ago?" I don't think they do remember. I think they look at being Republicans as if they're fans of a sports ball team. No matter how much the team fucks up, they still love them. My mother's face was white as a ghost the day the DOW hit 6500 because she knew her condo already had no equity, so she could potentially end up homeless. Meanwhile Obama gets elected, the economy gradually improves, the DOW triples, and life is good again and it's like none of the bad stuff under Bush ever happened, and Obama is a pinko commie fag who wants to steal her money. It drives me insane.

Yeah, the problem with fracking and oil sands is that they're only lucrative if overseas oil prices are high, because it's expensive to take all that goop out of the ground and then haul it somewhere else. So I'm sorry a few hundred/thousand oil workers might lose their jobs, but cheap gas is causing everyone else to do better financially, plus we're not fucking up the environment quite as much. God forbid we should try to use more solar power though.

I just replied to someone else where I mentioned the costs to the environment, and where I made points similar to your own. The thing about gas prices is they never stay cheap because Americans are greedy, dumb idiots who think "hey, gas is cheap, I better take a road trip" or "hey, gas is cheap, I better buy the biggest truck I can," so gas never stays cheap. I agree with you that we need to get the country to move to alternate fuels. I want a Tesla so badly I can taste it, but I can't afford one. I plan on one day living in a small, solar house with a car port that also has solar so I can charge up my electric car, but I'm afraid we've probably already fucked up the earth pretty badly.

Cheap oil hurts the environment for sure, but I haven't seen any logical arguments as to how it's hurting the economy. A few oil workers are losing their jobs while everyone else has extra money to spend? I'm willing to live with that. Fifteen years ago people thought $2 a gallon gas was super pricey, now we're all talking about how cheap it is. Meanwhile, the only reason the price of oil went down is because the Chinese economy is slowing down, and because Wall Street traders are selling oil. It will go up again, because it always does.

Oh, you didn't offend me at all! My mom doesn't actually watch Fox News, but she reads the newspaper, and all the conservative columnists jump on the Fox News bandwagon and start spreading Fox's bullshit around. I asked her how many jobs she'd created after her taxes were cut 14 years ago, and surprisingly she hasn't created a single job. She still believes that deregulating industries and cutting taxes is a winning economic strategy, despite tons of evidence to the contrary. She just doesn't seem to have any common sense, even though she's very smart. It's puzzling.
