I read in an Israeli article that Israel was getting screwed because they relied on Trump's appearance and associations with conservatism to support Israel. But Arab countries had apparently observed that Trump is vulnerable to flattery, so they went on a 'charm offensive' and have gained his ear. In other words, buyer's remorse.

Comey referred a greater story to tell in January. We may need to wait until investigations are done before we know the whole truth. But the case against Weiner has gone oddly quiet considering they were weighing child porn charges just a few months ago.

Comey has done some very stupid and unethical things in the last 12 months, but it does not look like he lies. Whereas Trump lies all the time. Even during his campaign. So I would go with Comey, even though he is a dick.

And sitting by silently for nine days while the rumor and spin mill went into overdrive while maintaining total silence just seals my opinion. The letter was based on total speculation. He did not even have a warrant. He ignored decades long policy about not doing exactly what he did without consulting anyone. And as far as leaks, he could have send a notice out that any leaks on this would result in dismissal, and if leaks occurred, he could have tried to publicly tamp down the speculation by saying what was obvious, they had nothing showing those emails contained anything new. Essentially, he preempted the leaks by leaking it himself, then clamming up.
