So Log cabin Republicans are astonished that Trumpy Republicans want to deny their civil rights. And Arabs for Trump are startled that he wants to make the Gaza Strip into a parking lot. And folks who have immigrated here are surprised that their family members are going to removed forcibly.

I genuinely have all the love for the innocent bystanders. But fuck the people who hurt others.

Did you ask them if they had asked everyone THEY knew?

And not just after the fact, when it wouldn't do much good. Were all the people in “your circle” asked ahead of time if they were having trouble registering, or trouble getting to the polls, or if they had a ride?

And even if all that were handled, how do you know if they did or didn't vote for the apocalypse we're staring in the face now? Or, again, if they lied to you about it?

And why of all the things we could be discussing that are related to this outcome would you jump forward to quibble about that when the racism that drove the bad decisions has been a problem not for 8 years, but for 400-plus?

OT: What a DAY.

First, maintenance took down ALL our stanchion lines last night to "clean the floors." Thanks guys. That means we didn't have time to teach everyone the weird new posts because we had to reset all that in under an hour! It was fucking keystone cops, I swear.

THEN managers had to spend the next two hours correcting everyone doing the posts wrong because the cheatsheet was wrong or it ended up not being what that post needed (ex: we thought the lines for staffers would be rather long. NOPE. turns out instead of making sure not too many people go at once, we're wrangling staffers wandering hither and yon because they don't realize they just walked the staff line and are at the merge, and are looking for the staff line).

We kind of had it down by eleven am. Ish. I was in Rotunda from noon to one and we had twelve hundred people through in that time. With stops for congressional respects-paying (Yertle, Lindsay, mostly senators). Allegedly TFG is gonna show up at four so glad I worked the early shift and am LONG gone for that shitshow (if an POTUS or similar ranked human shows, we have to clear the Rotunda. as one coworker said "why can't he just go to the funeral like all the other presidents?")

But yeah. Exhausted.
