The Josh confessing his "mistakes," thing appears when Jim Bob was interviewed by the police after Oprah's people reported the Duggars covering up for Josh molesting his sisters. I would guess that there is small grain of truth, like Josh confessing after being caught or told on, but not that he spontaneously came forward. And I strongly suspect that Pa Duggar came up with that story to try and minimize the consequences of his failure to do anything concrete about Josh molesting their daughters.
Nicola, the biggest question is, "do your boys clearly get the difference between reality and fantasy?" If so, they will probably be fine. But, either way, talk with them. The Duggars are a prime example of what happens when you ignore problems, they don't go away, they get more entrenched.Also, there is plenty of good research suggesting that porn gives some people unreal expectations if they don't have live partners. But that tends to be people who are more comfortable with the fantasy than reality.
